some say height, some say reflex some say a few more other things.but i doubt it will depend on solely any one factor tho.
gk are similar to their fellow outfield players they need a bit of every thing.height alone wouldnt suffice imo.the taller they are the harder for them to reflex quickly since their centre of G is quite far compared to the short ones(can be done but will be tremendously hard, and hats off for those who have able to do it)
generally any type of physic they have will come with the + and -.how they balance it out and train its important.

Akinfeev , I believe have all the characteristic that we needs
1. He short but his agility and reflex equals or reminds me of Casillas
2. We need a vocal goalie, and he is one
3. We need people who can lead the back4 whenever the lead is missing, he can. He captained his country as such a young age together with clubs.
4. He has the ability
5. I rank Akinfeev among 1 of the top goalie among those that is considered young. He have played in high level international matches, which some of this younger one are getting. Experience wise , he > most of them
