Owen was awesome. His off the ball movement, his passes. Was hoping for him to score against them but sadly it didnt happen tongue.gif
He proved he can still perform despite his lack of pace which was his weapon in the back years.

touche' he really showed conviction today.if were still short of rooney when we travel to white hart lane i think owen should get the nod ahead of chicha.

hoo we got Southampton.good draw imo.good team fighting it out in the lower leagues.

I'm with you on the bolded part. Chicha can come in as a sub like he does best tongue.gif
Playing a player as fast as him againts the tired defenders is a scary thought.

Southampton? Oh how I missed them biggrin.gif

It was never going to be pretty. Although we won, things might have been very different had Gerrard stayed on the pitch. They know how to play us. They defended really well, letting our CBs do the passing. There was hardly any space.. even when they were down to 10. Good job from them I say. If they play that way every game, they will climb up the table.

gotta be honest here, shameful dive from Berbatov..but these things do happen and I'm pretty sure any pool players would have done such thing in a similar situation...

well about the red card, only pool fans and ABUs dont see it..2 footed tackle, win ball or 50-50 with contact with another player is a sending off..it's for dangerous play, but I doubt those ppl will never take of their biased tinted glass and admit it was a sending off

nice draw against the saints

A win but no bragging rights. As a football fan I hate to win this way.

This. oh well, football is football. Howard Webb further cements his reputation as a United supporter doh.gif

Anyway, Southampton next in the cup. an opportunity for youngsters?

same thoughts here.it would have been different for us if they were 11.i doubt we would have done the defensive game.it would have been a much open game.
