My colleagues HD7 no notification yet
My LG no notification.

Any one else?

Singtel LG still no update.. hope this doesnt make me regret my snap purchase of a singtel model tongue.gif

@fulat : I dont think snap exiting Marketplace crashes it, cause Marketplace is one of the few apps that can run in background. From my experience its more of problems in data transfer that causes it to crash.

Maybe those who didn't get the notification for the update has been blocked by their carrier. I'm on Maxis and I got the notification when I connect my HD7 to the PC yesterday morning.

By any chance, those who didn't get a notification are using Celcom or Digi?  hmm.gif

Read this article.

AFAIK, our local phones DO NOT have carrier branding. To check this is easy.

Settings -> About

If your phone is tied to a carrier you'll see "Carrier : XXXX"

For example this is how it looks on mine

anyone know how to delete the entire phone book at the phone?

Or are you asking how to hard reset the phone to clear all contents? That would be under settings->about->reset your phone

you can use the map...but not to a 100% of its capability. eg: if you try to search for an address, you most likely to get a wrong address. Moreover, in my case..i'm living in ss1, PJ..but bing map indicate it as Subang Jaya area..which is waaayyyy oofff the area.

Bing map SUX...big time. Will be waiting for any 3rd party apps.. hopefully garmin or papago or malsing will make a offline navigation for WP7.

Or we get a working Google Map client

Here's a new tip which I just found out just now when playing IloMilo
--------

The scenario is this, you're playing Puzzle Quest 2 on your HD7 and then your thumb accidentally swipes pass the Windows button and the game goes away as the Start screen shows up and you lose your game progress, damn those capacitive buttons! What happen was that the absence of traditional multitasking, and the app's developer not being able to handle Windows Phone 7 tombstoning effectively would have caused the app to lose whatever it is you were working on.

This is especially problematic on devices that don't have PHYSICAL buttons cause it's so easy to accidentally press capacitive buttons. What I just found out is that if you quickly press BACK after hitting the Windows or Search buttons there's a chance that you can get back to the app BEFORE the OS kills it. Keyword here is QUICKLY, you have to be fast about it! It might not always work, but if something good to know.

as long as you use the SAME live ID account, you won't be charged again. It'll tell you that you've purchased the app before and ask if you want to redownload it again.

Guys,
I have a problem with my Mozart.
when I boot the phone, at the pin entry screen, the button on the screen does not work until after like... 6 seconds. I have to keep pressing the button on the screen to know it it works.
and when I do get in, touches are smooth as usual.

but then, when the screen locks after idling, it is ver hard to slide the wallpaper up.. it keeps jumping (*means it senses touch) but does not slide up as instructed, after many tries, then it will slide and works normally..

anyone using mozart experience this problem ? any solution ? I have update the phone through zune...

what can I do ?... help. while the phone works well, it is very annoying and sometime I missed a call just because the screen does not want to slide up (*unlock)

help!
*
Are you operating the phone with one hand? ie, grip in the same hand, and slide with thumb on the same hand. The thing is that there's not much gap between the screen and the sides, so when you grip it you must make sure that the fingers you are holding the phone with arent already making contact with the screen.

It sounds very possible that this is happening to you because like you said it keeps jumping as if there's some contact already.

But... if you are sure you dont have other parts of your hand touching the screen, then it might be a hardware *cough*HTC Factor*cough* issue and you need to change it.

MS is really dragging their feet. If they don't get this update soon, they will lose some early adopters, like me!

Well, dont go running to Android then.

well you have two choices, to run to andrioid, which stagger their update every single time as well

Or worry wheter or not you get an official update from your actual phone manufacturer.

Ok.. here's something different for a change. Testing out the YallaApps submission system to allow other country's developers to submit applications. Before I start working on my actual game, I want to put up a more simple game first, so... Invader or Runner?

No, these aren't the ACTUAL app I'm gonna put up, but it's the concept of what I might put up.

Added on March 13, 2011, 6:26 pmYou can also download the Windows version of the invader concept here.

Developing a chat app that supports notifications would require the maintainence of a server. Not something I want to take care of.
