how bout singapore?

Something weird. I was restoring back to pre nodo rom. I had my celcom sim installed. Zune only update the phone to 7008.
I've tried everything. Reinstalling Zune. Hard reset etc.

Then I tried switching to Maxis sim card and zune found the nodo update and install it. Weird.

BTW, can you guys write you phone info in the "about" menu here. I need to check whether I got the correct ROM.

7008 is the 1st WP7 ... not NoDo ... not sure whats is wrong but better take a backup with Zune

Hey i buy whtasapp via zune marketplace, then i didnt see tat apps in my phone, wat happen eh?

Whatsapp is only supported on Windows Mango phones.
If you have any version other than Windows Mango, you won't be able to see it

I had the ori backup but zune failed to restore it back after I flashed the Taiwan ROM. Thus I installed pre nodo rom and update it to nodo. Hopefully won't have trouble updating to official mango later on.

So wat i nid to do then? W8 till there is mango update?

Hahah yes but it's coming relatively quick. We'll have it in 2 weeks max. That's what Microsoft said

Seeing major EU/US Telcos having their Mango roll out starting around 26/27 Sep, I hope our phones will be updated tomorrow!

Even if the general release is 27th Sept. We'll have to wait for all the telcos to trickle in the update.

Since AFAIK most Malaysian WP7 phones are telco free, they should be getting as soon as the update is available, heopfully.

i've been wanting to buy a smartphone for so long, and it took me sometime deciding between iphone, android phones or WP. but when i heard about mango, i just knew i was a WP guy.

so it took my awhile to convince my dad to get me one and finally, we went out to get it one night which was Friday, 23rd Sept. but i go up to the phone shops and i ask them for HTC Mozart, guess what ALL the phone shop guys say?

they say it's out of production and suggest i buy android phones instead. then i ask them why is it out of production? they just tell me WP is no good and HTC has "given up on WP and relying solely on android os."

wtf is going on guys? i know i'm never gonna go for any other phone other than a windows phone device (specifically mozart).

if shop dont want to sell buy from forum lah ...maybe can get cheaper than shop

LOL... yeah, I remembered back then when I wanna buy Mozart on 30 - 08- 2011 at the Garden, I was the only one looking at the Mozart while all the others busy looking at Evo 3D, Sensation and DHD.... then after I tried out the demo unit and wanna ask for further details regarding the Mozart, the first question that the Manager (I guess or people in charge) asked me was:

"CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN THIS PHONE?"

I was like "WTF?! Can't I get WP 7? Or must I get an ANDROID phone?"
If I'm getting an ANDROID phone, most likely I won't be getting HTCs (mediocre specs... and Sensation is full of bugs)... I would rather go for SE (for build quality, camera and design) or Samsung (for hardware beast)"

Sometimes I think that Malaysians' mindset is bit like "following what's the current trend"
Last time when I first using the Android (HTC G1 - the very first Android phone), everybody was like "WTF is this fella getting such a lousy phone (Android)... he should get an awesome phone like iPhone!"
While now everyone is Android Android Android... Jeez...

But dun get me wrong... I still love Android and I will most likely getting an Android Phone in the future again...
It just that WP7 is way more stable for daily usage and I need that... whereas Android will be my play-phone or multimedia-centric phone
