Rumor: Mango to start rolling out Sept 1. Hope this is true. However its unlike Microsoft for it to release it sooner that later, like what happened with NoDo. laugh.gif

MS can't control the exact delivery time for the OEMs, hopefully the disconnect trick will still work for us to force updates.

guys/gals,

1.  does anyone know how to back up sms on wp7? or how backup the whole phone?

    is it possible on Mango?

i wanna reset my phone but do wanna lose all my sms.
*
its is possible for HTC device. because HTC device can install Windows Phone device manager. all u need is access your HTC device with Windows Phone Device Manager.

goto \Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Stores\DeviceStore

copy store.vol and the PimIndex.vol out from the phone.

this 2 files contain all the SMS in the phone.

however. Windows Phone Device Manager only works for HTC device.

Wow... WP7 is STILL using outlook for messaging? I thought they would've redesigned the whole thing. If they're still using outlook, why did they remove the ability to save drafts and create folders???

why cant outlook handle messaging? you know last time i can use sms to send email, until they blocked it.

well, WP7 do have the ability to create folder. if you notice WP7 will group the same sender sms same topic in 1 conversation just like create folder.

until someone click create new and not reply. it keep all those replied email from same sender in 1 folder.

was curious are u a wp7 user or just some arse come in and flame?

to be honest, there isnt any difference in this '7720' build compared to mango beta 2 '7712' so why risk it?

hidden wifi not there, voice navigation not there.. the only difference spotted so far, is the 'not for resale' is gone at the boot screen..

Another thing, i get the latest HTC update for htc mozart after flashing. Don't know this update for what use.

There is always a reverse or undo to standard and official version.
Always remember to backup the data, whatever you do.
I believe that Microsoft doesn't really care about the unlock or jailbreak, they won't limit or stop you from any updates.
But they may only protect their apps and system with the updates, make it more difficult to unlock and jailbreak.
They won't blame you for hacking smile.gif
