yesterdays get egreat r200 model with latest firmware updated

tested find out once setting spidf raw output, player bitstream all format to avr decode,

only have sound for AC3 and DTS.

but switch to LPCM 2ch able decode format to stereo but cannot bitstream AC3 DTS to AVR decode.

how come cannot only bitstream AC3 and DTS, other format decoded LPCM output for spdif raw output?

also hdmi dont have off sound function for only spdif out usage?

anyone have this player with same issue with me?

the setting you have chosen already explained its own function.

Raw meaning the R200 will not do any single job of downmixing, just passthru all sound signal to the AVR to do the decoding job.

LCPM 2CH is downmixing job done by R200 and then pass the signal out to AVR to output. AVr cannot decode DTS or AC3 anymore since it already been downmixed to stereo by R200.

There is no HDMI sound off option currently. As we know, Xtreamer has this function, not too sure about other Realtek brands in the market.

i see, i know that current media player have they limitation but hopeful in future have additional function at firmware update for spdif/hdmi out.

overall r200 have very good performance, but issue display at fancy/style softsub.

Another reason is that your AVR doesn't support others sound format like aac. So, the AVR can't decode the sound when you set to SPDIF raw to bitstream to AVR..

It's been few days since i got s100. Performance, very good sigma machine for the pricetag. The remote almost the same as popcornhour c200, with backlit simply like it. Go get one, recommended

got aac mp3 ogg flac at audio track,

so for current limitation need manual setting spdif raw for ac3 dts, spdif lpcm for other audio format.

for me is ok but my family member they dont know, need always put default at spdif lpcm.

Wifi is optional add-on item.

The units we are selling do not comes with Wifi. We highly recommend using Realtek 8191SU chipset which support 300Mbps transfer rate.
