SPDIF is only Optical/Toslink. No coaxial output.

The firmware upgrades is available at Egreat official website. However the unit already preinstalled with its latest firmware.

Realtek 1055 chipset do not support LAN features. It is purely a HDD media player.

Suitable for users who do not use LAN/online features, mainly enjoying playback from HDD collections. So no need to pay more for the features you are not using it.

If looking for LAN/internet features, I would suggest Xtreamer to you.

We do not sell here, mainly doing announcement and support to users.

Packaging is in English. Remote control has both English and Chinese, can cater for both user market.

Maybe you can try out this ways:

1. Go to Setting, Audio, then at Night Mode, select Comfort.
2. Press the Volume Up. The max volume is 31. Set it as high as possible.

This way should amplify the sound louder, hence you do not need to turn your amp volume to half.

For adjusting the volume, you do not need to go to 'Setting' to do that.

While playing your movie, you just press Vol+ or Vol- to adjust the volume directly.

For your HDD when power off the unit, this is the sound of HDD stop spinning due to no power being output to your HDD. This is normal for all media player. So far I do not encounter HDD spoilt due to this on/off issue.

One way which you can do is try to go to Setting and press stop scanning your HDD in one of the options. You can find it there, off hand I cant give you the specific place. Then power off your unit.

About the player hang issue, I do not face this issue yet even I tried it playing whole day.

Hope it helps to solve your issues.

The button is on the remote control itself. Just below the 'Eject' Button.

If you are using the composite input, definately the sound quality is not good due to it is only analogue Stereo.

If your Amp has Optical Input, try to use it as it is Digital Sound output, which support DTS5.1 or Dolby Digital 5.1. Set you audio setting to SPDIF - RAW.

You will find the sound quality improve by alot!!

HDMI will support DTSHDMA 7.1 and Dolby TrueHD7.1, a much better sound quality.

1. Firmware upgrades is available from time to time, you must flashed the firmware for its own model only. cannot flash R4A firmware into R6B.
2. R4A is using Realtek 1073 and R6B is using realtek 1055. Both are different chipset, 1073 is with LAN and 1055 is without LAN.
