It shows no charge right?

So far only Mac does or really high powered USB port. smile.gif
So I only use the wall charger, works like charm.

wiraone,

If you are on Windows XP/7, install the Asus Ai Charger.

It is a software which allow your ipad to be charge through USB ports.

it's free to use.

Anybody uses their iPad alot for e-books? How do u feel holding it up to read after a long period of time? what worries me since i like to read on my bed, so too heavy then uncomfortable. Lol

Reading books and graphic novels are my main iPad usage. I normally read before I sleep so it's the same as reading a hardcover book in terms of weight. However, I find the iPad more user friendly because I can prop it against my pillow if I get too lazy to carry it and it can fit a whole library of books in it which is excellent when I'm on the move.

Yes, AI Charger by Asus may do the trick and some of the motherboard brands out there already have this driver. Anyway this Asus driver support most of the motherboard brand out there.

There are innumerable crazy things people have done with their idevices – but this one might just take the cake for being the weirdest. Photographer Jesse Rosten has used as many as nine iPads as a photography prop. No, his models didnt pose with iPads. Instead, the iPads – all nine of them were used as light source for the session. While using the backlighting of mobile phones (and now tablets) as a torch might be a very common thing to do, this might be the first time that a handheld device might have been used for professional photography.

Rosten used all nine iPads at full brightness and looking at the pictures – it doesn’t seem that bad. With each iPad costing $499, the total bill for just the lighting prop amounts to a cool $4491. But then what other lighting source allows you to browse the web?

usually, if you connect the usb into the notebk usb port, it wont charge the ipad

even when i connect it into my Dell desktop front usb, it too wont charge BUT when i connect it to the back ( CPU back usb port) it charge thumbup.gif
usually Desktop back usb port provide more power,

the most recommendable way of charging is via 10W wall plug, remember not less than 10W cause it will degrade the battery if u use a lower wattage wall plug icon_idea.gif

Not less than 10W? When we plug into our iPad to the PC's laptop for iTunes Sync and it gives us the "Not Charging" word, it's actually does charge the iPad but in a very slow speed. So it means that if we plug in too many times to our PC's, will it degrade more faster to the iPad battery?
