few weeks ago i bought an ipad wifi 16gb,
im using 3G router to made a wifi hotspot.
i connect with my laptop and ipad.
my internet connection for laptop connect well,
but connection for ipad frequently lost.
what i can do is re connect every time.
another rubbish by Apple.
*
I just have my iPad 16GB wifi, so far have not encounter any disconnection wiith my wifi router which I was pairing with my laptop, iPhone and iPod Touch as well. You should try with another wifi hotspot and if the problem still arise, better send it back to the Apple Service center coz you might bought a defective wifi unit. If no problem with another hotspot, then the problem could be your 3G router.

DO NOT buy an iPad or MacBook pro now. It's too late to get it now.

MacBook are going to have new refresh in this few weeks time while iPad is only a couple of months away.

Just wait for it.
*
Not sure bought Macbook, but if iPad 2 gonna launch in a couple of months plus a couple of months to reach our shore and iPad 3 will going to launch in a few month from that date......

lol... Camera?

I think he is referring to those additional apps from iPad 2 which appears on the ipad1 as well, the exact time to pause the video is suppose to be at 0.42 in order to see the animation mistake.

Mifi is sim card wifi router, therefore it works like a wifi router where you can connect your iPad and laptop.

is iPad 16gb really enough to store all the application and music document stuff ?
*
Do you really need so much of apps, music or videos to be store in your iPad? ITunes have the option where you can select what you really need to sync it to your iPad. If you really want everything to be store into your iPad, even the 64Gb also will not enough for your usage.

Quick photo editing, facebook, whatsapp, games, documents editing smile.gif
Means we can store all in the itunes then choose which to put inside the ipad? hmm.gif
*
Precisely, apps can be downloaded from apps store when you access through iTunes from your PC/Mac or the iTunes apps in your iPhone, ipodTouch or iPad. If you download from your PC/Mac's iTunes, you can choose your desire apps to be sync to the abovementioned devices and if you download from iTunes through those devices, you can transfer your purchases to your PC/Mac iTunes and choose your apps to resync back to your device. Just simply download the iTunes and install it to your PC/Mac(free from Apple), you will understand more before you buy your new toys..smile.gif

ItubeX is not an apps, its a application for Mac OSX. The downloads will automatically converted and transfer into the iTunes, you can sync them to your devices later.

QUOTE(WhatMan @ Mar 12 2011, 11:46 PM)
I've become very interested in tablet lately. Never owned any Apple product so iPad 2 might be the first one for me to own.

But got a few question about iPad:
1. Can it play the normal divx/xvid/wmv/avi files?
2. If so, can I play these files from an external memory (usb, ext. hdd)
3. Youtube is important, but I read iPad doesn't support Flash.
4. How well does the iPad do as a device that surf webpage?
5. You think I might have to wait around 9 months for the iPad 2 to hit Msia?
*
1) Air Video as it can convert lot'sa codec, I tried .rmvb, .rm and wmv with no prob
2) Air Video plays your media through wifi from your PC/Mac and you need to install the Air Video Host server to your desktop/laptop+a wifi router. You can convert them before watching remotely from your iPad or use the live conversion(recommended) where you will experience no glitch at all while watching.
3) Youtube are working even from the 1 gen of iPhone.
4) Fantastic with touch experience except no flash content supported.
5) I think it's maybe a couple of months but no as far as 9 months, maybe this May?

i might consider in both ipad
ipad:
-cheap
-stock in, can get it anytime.
-jailbr**k allowed
cons- no camera, no imovie? heavy(just a bit for me) speed slower
(wondering how fast actually can it goes)
ipad 2:
-camera (what i want for imovie and facetime)
-speed (they prove that is faster than ipad for 9x)
-New (of coz this is not an important issue)
-thinner, lighter
cons- bad video camera on backside? (wanna try out), expensive, not sure when can we jailbr**k it (if only can or want)
-smart cover (oh that just too nice to me)
Same spec- same display system, same port support, same memory.
Diff- diff processor, camera added, thinner, lighter, what else?
*color choice is one of main reason too.
**sorry if there is not allowed me to talk about jailb**ak thingy.
which to get? i wish i can get both wtf..

btw just another question, does hdmi supported? and want to know does movie allowed for transfer from ip4 to ipad using bluetooth?
*
It's stated double the speed of the 1 gen Ipad instead of 9x...only the graphics processor are 9x faster than the previous one. Bluetooth transfering are not supported and you need to purchase a adapter for hdmi support.

End of March ? LOL. Late June or July is more realistic  smile.gif

There's no solid source that can prove the iPad2 will be coming on when, just some people's speculation and those "I heard my fren said hor.." and "I heard my coffee maker aunty said hor...iPad will be in our shore next week", next week maybe tsunami will come to our shore also.....lol

i ady hav ipad1
i will buy ipad2 if it is available in Malaysia soon
i will also buy any subsequent ipads

why?,

if you need money some day, just sell your collection and u might get back more than[U] you hav paid for them, provided u take good care of them cause some one out there will be willing to buy a well kept ipad tat is no more selling in shops
*
We are talking bout iPad bro, technology stuff...look at the price of the iPad now, it drops right after the iPad 2 announced. Do you think I can still sell my well kept iPad 16GB Wifi 1 gen at RM1600 if the iPad 3 announced? Probably RM500 only but it's better than nothing to fund for the ipad3 by that time...smile.gif

i mentioned "you might" meaning maybe, but if its well kept, and some collector is willing to buy, who knoes...........because by then Ipad1 is no mote in production and maybe ipad2  suks and ipad3 have smaller screen, then ppl will go for the ipad1 by then............

tell me sincerely, do u like the ipad1 now? if u compare ipad1 to the Galaxy Tab, ipad1 beats it in terms of screen size thumbup.gif
*
Yes, I loves my iPad 1 very at the moment, I think my wife, my daughter and my lappy started get get jealous coz I been playing with it too much...lol. Galaxy Tab? In terms of mobility, it beats iPad and the screen are superb with rich contrast and vibrant colors. The downside of Galaxy Tab is, the OS is like a newer Windows mobile and so plastically feel. Maybe I get use with the touch technology from apple since I bought the iPhone 1 gen few years back, I still felt that the touch and swipe sensitivity and accurracy beats all the touch screen gadget out there..anyway it's just my own opinion. smile.gif

wiraone,

If you are on Windows XP/7, install the Asus Ai Charger.

It is a software which allow your ipad to be charge through USB ports.

it's free to use.
*
Yes, AI Charger by Asus may do the trick and some of the motherboard brands out there already have this driver. Anyway this Asus driver support most of the motherboard brand out there.

usually, if you connect the usb into the notebk usb port, it wont charge the ipad

even when i connect it into my Dell desktop front usb, it too wont charge BUT when i connect it to the back ( CPU back usb port) it charge thumbup.gif
usually Desktop back usb port provide more power,

the most recommendable way of charging is via 10W wall plug, remember not less than 10W cause it will degrade the battery if u use a lower wattage wall plug icon_idea.gif
*
Not less than 10W? When we plug into our iPad to the PC's laptop for iTunes Sync and it gives us the "Not Charging" word, it's actually does charge the iPad but in a very slow speed. So it means that if we plug in too many times to our PC's, will it degrade more faster to the iPad battery?
