guys , i found a dead pixel in my ipad `s lcd.

can i claim its warranty?

Nope, as I recall the warranty can only be claim if you more than 4 dead pixels on your screen. Maybe you can try your luck by calling or send your iPad to the Apple Service Centre.

Hi,

Brought my iPad to the Machines Service Centre at their Northpoint Mid-Valley office today. It will take about 7 - 14 working days to get the home button fixed. According to the technician, most probably Apple will replace with another iPad unit (not too sure whether this is going to be a brand new or refurbished unit). The sad thing is Apple will not replace my screen protector (yes, I still have to fork out RM 100 ++ for a new screen protector ) And if I want to have my new/refurbished iPad engraved, I have to wait for a month. So I opted for a unit without engraving. On the bright side, you can choose to pick-up your fixed unit at any Machines Outlet.

Apparently another guy who dropped-off his iPad for repair also had the same problem as mine. Looks like this is quite a common problem.

Anyone mind to share how long do ur ipad 2 needs to be fully charged???

i just use a cheapo rm20 matte screen protector, a cheapo RM30 silicon case , and get a rm30+ net book bag to cover only

now still nice nice there.

mine took really really SHORT TIME... i wonder why mine so short time.... sometime only need 1 hour

Depends on how much battery power left when you charge it, if you're talking about from 10% to 100% in 1 hour then your battery is dying.

Few hours AT LEAST for a full charge, normally i leave overnight.

you could try the app iFiles (not to be confused with the app iFile from Cydia)

iFiles can create some sort of virtual web server and u will be able to access files (pictures, songs, videos, documents etc) that are stored inside iFiles from another device... using the web browser

files in camera roll etc can be transfered to iFiles folder easily also
