i'm okay and fine with it..

Android's browser has something bothering me. I cannot download plenty of files of unknown file type for the phone. For example, I tried to download Speedmod kernel over the stock browser and I am denied to download. sad.gif

You can enable all file type downloads if you have Astro file manager and check the 'Enable Browser Downloads' option.

Anyone knows how to check the size of dalvik cache? Coz everytime I wipe dalvik-cache in CWM it shows something like this:

"E:wrong infocache wipe"

Just wondering whether the wipe is successful or not..

hmm... i don get it. format sd is definitely not same as factory wipe right?

correct me if i m wrong:
Format sd - wipe apps + wipe data + all files in internal sd
Factory wipe - wipe apps + wide data

so if i reli and seriously want to make a fresh start on my phone before flashing to a new rom, format sd would be the best isnt it?

=)

Hi all. New sgs user here! First time installing custom rom. Took me awhile to figure out everything..Already installed darkys v5.5, so far much better than 2.2 stock froyo. No lag at all!

I just noticed that it actually fixed the gps! Last time, its really hard to get signal. Only a-gps will do. But now it can lock up to 10 satellites with accuracy of 16.4 ft! thumbup.gif I love my sgs!

Let's say your phone is 16GB

2GB will be partition for your apps + data

14GB for your stuff which you can access using computer( ex, camera's pictures, music, etc)

Factory reset cleans up 2GB

Format SD cleans up the 14GB, you can also format external SD as well.

We need to use OC kernel for that to work.
setCPU can be downloaded from market.
but the voltage control only works with OC kernel. VC can be found in XDA forum.
