I can confirm that galaxy s with Darky 5.2 JPU got the best GPS speed so far. I've been trying with papago app and also foursquare app.
I got it lock on in less than 10 sec even inside a building.
The setting I use is only the default one with only GPS on.
I didn't turn on the "use wireless network"
feels impressive.

Darky 5.2 with JPU is godlike.

But i'm not sure about gallery bug though... I didn't use much of the default gallery at the moment due to the problem with lowres zoom in issue I have the the default gallery. You'll understand if u try to read a jpg magazine page with the default gallery, it's all pixellated and lowres when you zoom in to read text. I use "B&B gallery" instead and it solved my problem.

I haven't check the battery consumption with default gallery yet but I think it's doing ok with B&B now.

Still have the voodoo lagfix on at the moment but I finds that the phone doesn't drop any juice when I turn off wifi and disable Data. Seems like I can use this method to save a lot of battery when it's idle.

Actually I was about to ask how does the gallery bug behave?

I don't see problem with gallery yet. However I do finds that the zoom in detail has lost (lowres or pixellated) compare to other gallery app like B&B gallery which shows full detail when zoom in.

it seems ok. It show 4.38 mins since unplug.
5 mins later seems like you are right. the amount of time has increase.
I guess at the moment I better avoid using gallery at all. Using B&B instead. is there a way fix the bug?

hi guys, i've been trying to replace gallery3d.apk with root explorer. but I can't be able to do it due to permission issue.
how do i work around it?

I move the downloaded gallery3d.apk to the /system/app/

it just shows that "you cannot paste here because the file system is read-only".

I know this is based on Euro version, how do I send sms in chinese?
I can type in chinese but my friends can't see my chinese sms in their phone.
is there any settings I can change to rectify this?

We need to use OC kernel for that to work.
setCPU can be downloaded from market.
but the voltage control only works with OC kernel. VC can be found in XDA forum.

wanted to try it myself too. but I don't really wanna oc my phone.
but on the other hand, we still can limit our phone back to 1Ghz if we use setCPU.
since lagfix can be disabled as well perhaps it's not a bad idea to try OC kernel.
