Good news for those with Diploma in IT from 2003 onwards, if you are not employed or want to study free MCSE course (provided you not paying any EPF currently). My college (MIS technologies) is looking for IT graduates to join their MCSE course for free and you will get allowance which is worth of rm500 (from PSMB). (reminder: your Dip/H.dip cert must be at least half year before, which is like Oct 2005 or earlier)
The college brief info:Name: MIS, an IT training centre.
Address: 505, Block A4, Leisure Commerce Square, 9, Jln PJS 8/9, PJ (same building with Taylor college but they r not part of Taylor college)
How to go by public transport: The college is just behind the Setia Jaya KTM station (Setia Jaya is part of pelabuhan klang line). And you also can take bus to Sunway Pyramid and walk 20 min to the college.
Contact number: 03-7877 7505
Brief info about the course:Start date: April 2006 (not sure the exact date but they said is early of April)
How long? : 3 months study and 2 months industrial training (My advise: if u can find job b4 the industrial training then is better)
How many exams: totally 7 papers (all objectives and some stimulations)
What is it about: Microsoft Certified System Engineer, you learn about basic of Win XP and how to configure the Windows Server 2003. Basically it almost same as operating machine in factory if you ask my opinion. So those who hate operate machine have to think twice. We config mostly on security, domain control, subnet mask, file permission, printer sharing, and SQL server (this one I not yet learn).
How many ppl in a class: around 15-20
Class time: 9am-4pm, mon-fri
What if you fail: You have to pay RM320 on your own for each exam you fail, the PSMB only pay your exam once!
What supporting documents you need if u wan to apply(you need to be Malaysian graduated 2003 onwards and currently no job attachment (mean no EPF) and claim you are umemploy for half year)
- One passport size photo
- Photocopy of new IC (both sides)
- Photocopy of academic transcripts (SPM, STPM, Diploma)
- Photocopies of first page and latest transaction of BSN/RHB passbooks. (first page mean the page contain your bank account number and name) (no other bank accepted except RHB or BSN)
- application form (application form you can bring all the neccessary documents to the college and fill-in the form on the spot and submit together with all the documents)
