QUOTE(canny @ Feb 19 2006, 02:41 AM) Yes, i agree with what u said. Since i am planning to take SLG courses, i really afraid i am coming out unemployed again. I think i really need to think wisely...hehehe Correct PSMB will have this 'interview' session... but nothing much... only a few question like why didn't work, why wanna take this course, etc etc... as for me he didnt even ask a single question... not to mention not even a word out from his mouth during my 'interview' session Yea, i heard if i apply CCNP, i need to go for interview by PSMB izzit? Yea, i still wanna know which institution is better to study n really gain better knwoledge. Thanks!!! alot !!! After the course, training center have to make sure each of its student get attach to any IT company for the training.... most company are planning to take trainee as permanent staff after the training period... which center is better? Hmm.. for MCSE or CCNP you can try calling TrainPro... not sure if they are still running SLG... but just give em a call... |

QUOTE(canny @ Feb 19 2006, 12:12 PM) Renew every year...wow...enpensive or not? Yeap for certification course there is an 'expire date' because technology wise are changing rapidly. Once expire you will need to sit for the exam again to renew your cetification license.. CCNP per paper will cost you USD150 which is around RM600...I feel quite weird...if i do networking, why mostly every jobs oso do contract one? What is the benefits doing contract or permanent? Contract? Less benefit but should be slightly high pay. Permanent? Better benefit maybe... |

QUOTE(canny @ Feb 18 2006, 10:36 PM) What i wan is...certificate that can guarantee me a job. Between this two cert which one can guarantee better future? no offence, k? just a 2 cents of mine..If i choose CCNP, izzit i dun have to touch any coding. Actually i dun really like programming stuff... actually, we shouldn't have these kinda mindset. certification = guaranteed job... even though it is a fact that most employers tend to employ someone with pro certification than someone who doesn't. if we purely think that cert will give me lots of job opportunities, what we learn during the course are not based on our interest and therefore, we learn for the sake of the cert and not for the knowledge itself. nevertheless, it has been one of my reason for taking mcse course but it's not the priority but i want to learn something new and want the employer hire me because of my knowledge and skills rather than just a certification and a limited skills and knowledge. cheers~ This post has been edited by boringpig: Feb 19 2006, 01:18 PM |

What i know is trainpro still got offers CCNP under the SLG program, but by now i think they run out of places.
MCSE course at guidanceview is officially full, as my friend joined last minute I agree what wsso says, go for a prof cert if u interested in that particular field, coz having such cert will be a big added advantage in ur career. If someone decides to go to the path of system programming, having a programming cert like Sun Java Programming Cert or Microsoft Certified System Develop (MCSD) simply helps alot. For clarification..
Basic CISCO is CCNA.. which valid for 3 years.... which after that you have to retake CCNA or upgrade to CCNP next if you have CCNP its valid for 3 years as well which after that you have to retake CCNP or upgrade to CCIE... As for CCIE im not aware whether it has 3-year licence or not... Same goes to MCSE which I dont think has expiry period... |
