Better news is that redemption can be made by combining Choice Points of several SCB cardmembers. No more worries of insufficient points
What do you mean combining ChoicePoints ?Credit Card v13

@sam325: What I hate about Citibank Shell Card/Citibank Cash-Back Platinum is that the cash rebate need to accumulate up to RM50 before Citibank credit back to your account.
Go for OCBC Titanium ;-) which offers monthly cashback of 5% on petrol (credited monthly basis) This post has been edited by ronnie: Dec 28 2010, 02:53 AM |

QUOTE(stacko @ Dec 28 2010, 10:46 AM) Somehow I still yet to receive my OCBC Titanium statement dated 11 Dec 2010 by post. Is anyone else with statement date on 11 also not receiving theirs? Cos if any card holders enjoying the 0% interest failed to pay past 31 Dec 2010, then the bank will start to charge interest. My OCBC Titanium's 15 Dec 2010 statement already received last week. Better check with OCBC.I have actually paid even though I didn't receive my statement, but curious why the Dec statement so slow. No problem with previous Oct & Nov statements. Else you can pay without the statement as long as the Internet Banking statement is available and correct. |

QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 29 2010, 12:55 PM) My friend paid his phone bill at Maxis Centre (IOI Mall), he didn't get 5% cashback but only 1%. Not sure about U-Mobile. I guess the Maxis Centre could be using a different MCC such asQUOTE 4812 :- Telecommunication Equipment Including Telephone Sales Included in 5% Cash Back QUOTE 4814 :- Telecommunication Service Including Local and Long Distance Calls, Credit Card Calls, Calls Through Use of Magnetic-Stripe-Reading Telephones, and Fax Services 4815 :- VisaPhone 4816 :- Computer Network/Information Services 4821 :- Telegraph Services 4899 :- Cable and Other Pay Television Services 4900 :- Utilities —Electric, Gas, Water, Sanitary, Wholesale Trade - Durable Goods |

I have received confirmation the OCBC Titanium rebate is based on calendar month, not statement date.
My previous example that the Statement Cycle is 16 Dec 2010 to 15 Jan 2011 - Spends between 16 to 31 Dec 2010 gets maximum RM150 rebates. - Spends between 1 to 15 Jan 2011 gets maximum RM50 rebates. Thus you can get RM170 in total if you really want to spend ;-) |

good question.... I dont think need to deduct as i have already used the rebate. On 16 dec onwards all rebate starts from RM0.. So u can collect RM120 for transaction posted before or on 31 Dec 2010. Shorter time... Is the only con.

QUOTE(kokboon04 @ Dec 30 2010, 12:50 AM) I'm planning to apply for new cc soon (2011 Jan). Which bank offer the best reward + cashback for the Plantinum card? There are 2 banks in my list I suggest you change to OCBC Titanium Mastercard, which offers 5% cash back (maxed at RM50 per month).1) OCBC Platinum card which offer 0.5% cash back + free GST end of the year if you meet the yearly limit + free annual fee. 2) Standard Chartered Business Visa Platinum Which one is better? Use Standard Chartered Business Visa Platinum as a secondary to the OCBC Titanium once the RM50 cash-back rebate has been maxed out. This post has been edited by ronnie: Dec 30 2010, 01:18 AM |

The following is the T&C for OCBC's Year-End Promotion
QUOTE 20. Split qualified retail spend transactions are disallowed and shall be disqualified. “Split qualified retail spend” are retail transactions made within an hour on the same day. Does that mean we can only swipe once an hour per day to participate ? I thought it's more logical to state “Split qualified retail spend” are retail transactions made within an hour on the same day from the same merchant. QUOTE(zenquix @ Dec 30 2010, 04:31 PM) Your feedback is same as ronnie's. The latest feedback from OCBC CS is the most up-to-date....My feedback from late Nov was RM120 from Dec X 2010 - Jan X 2011. Since my statement is mid Jan, appreciate if anyone with an early statement date (12 Jan or earlier) to post in the forums once they can see their rebate for this very special (and confusing) month. (hope you have internet banking). As long as OCBC gives max rebate between RM120 to RM170, everyone should be happy, right ? Mine just passed >RM50 rebate before 31 Dec 2010... so they better not pay me a cap of RM50... |

Let's hope CIMB/DA comes out with 5% rebate on petrol.
They should have a Cash-Back card to fight with OCBC ;-) |
