The petrol station only hold your money if you go swipe the card yourself. It won't happen if you go to the counter to pay with card.
BTW , anyone using Alliance Credit cards ??

What's the big differences between the classic and the You:nique Picture Cards besides you can change the picture ?
*
previously at Petronas Saujana Kajang (near McD), i want to use my CREDIT card at pump but got message there "Please see the cashier.." at the screen. When I go inside and give the card to the cashier, she ask me to use at the pump! rclxub.gif
i told her cannot use at the pump, then she said cash only inside sweat.gif

Same case with our friends here:
QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 9 2010, 02:42 AM)
Went to Mobil and wanted to buy 20w-50 engine oil.
Told by cashier that all items in the mart are cash term only.
Took out a RM50 note and a RM5 note to pay for it. mad.gif
Darn, I missed a 5% rebate.
*

BTW, Alliance You:nique, u can choose either want rates/rebates/rewards benefits.

Cash term is only applicable to items in the mart.
Only FUEL purchase allows CC payment, either at the pump or at counter.

Hello guys.. any one have UOB one platinum credit card?

May i know are there any different between the ONE PLATINUM and ONE CLASSIC in term of the look of the card?

Does the ONE PLATINUM have the priviledge of a real platinum card?
*
i have. the answer should be YES. coz at the website shows:

Global Visa Platinum Privileges - Whether you prefer pampering spa retreats or enjoy access to your preferred green and complimentary tee-off whenever you feel the need for a swing, you can always enjoy 5-star Visa Platinum Privileges with UOB ONE Platinum Card.

but maybe less priveleges compare to UOB Preferred Platinum sweat.gif

QUOTE(ywkwy @ Dec 13 2010, 01:30 PM)
Currently I don have any credit card, but due to I want to buy things online, i need one. May I know what requirement should I have to register credit card? coz Im still student and no income yet.. This pinned credit card thread is specific for this purpose already, don't need duplicate discussion.

As if moderating team allow multiple CC topic around aka each credit card one topic, 50 topics also not enough.

Thank you for cooperation.

QUOTE(yhtan @ Dec 13 2010, 05:37 PM)
isn't that Digi EPP plan is combine together of phone value and bill value? i'm not sure about this
*
if want to purchase iphone using EPP, dont do it with digi. u just swipe full amount of the phone price, then 3 days later call/sms bank to convert. so ur monthly bill for telco is different from ur monthly payment to bank.

QUOTE(Embrangle @ Dec 13 2010, 04:40 PM)
Ohh thanks got the info on UOB One Platinum..

humm just wondering how to diffrentiate the one platinum and one classic card if the look is the same.? I dont even know i have which card class.
*
got platinum word under one word in front of the card.

QUOTE(tzeling @ Dec 13 2010, 04:55 PM)
I don't understand the reply from the bank CS. Does she/he mean that RM50 is the maximum rebate for ALL (kfc/guardian/tesco/etc)? btw, for DA card right, 2% rebate during the weekend..isit 2% plus points or only the rebate itself?
*
what do u mean 2% rebate for DA during weekend?
if petrol then u are wrong, 2% petrol rebate is applicable everyday.
other than petrol, all got points (no matter if got rebates during weekend such as tesco 5%).

that means, the maximum rebate you can get in a month is RM50, no matter how much you have spent. The capping is applicable to petrol rebate as well.

despite lose out to ocbc Ti, DA MC is still a good card to keep.
*
but in my statement, each rebate is on different name. i got: 0038 REBATE-GIANT, 0038 CASH REBATE-TESCO PROMOTION, and 0041 REBATE-PURCHASES AT PETROL STN. but so far if i total all the rebate (within 1 month statement), never reach rm50 sweat.gif

I did get RM50 cash back using CIMB MasterCard back in November 2008 at ISETAN  biggrin.gif   In fact, it reached the maximum rebate on my first swipe alone and i had to use my Maybankard AMEX Gold to pay for the second time at ISETAN so i can get 2x Treatpoints instead of 1x CIMB bonus point.
*
woah u swipe rm1k @ isetan sweat.gif

(i assume rebate at isetan is 5%)

QUOTE(h4dRi @ Dec 14 2010, 03:07 PM)
- Minimum Monthly Repayment 5% of Outstanding Balance or a minimum of RM50, whichever is higher-

does it mean that card holder should pay min. rm50 every month even if not using it for that month and have no outstanding balance?
*
QUOTE(skincladalien @ Dec 14 2010, 03:15 PM)
if totally no use and no balance no need to pay anything.

btw what if that month i only use rm10? have to pay rm50 min also?
*
just pay rm10.

rm50 is if only ur statement got balance ~

let say last month u swipe rm800. so if 5% from rm800 is rm40, but if u dont want to pay full, u need to pay min rm50, not rm40.
(but pls, rm800 should be paying full la. if not, not only rm750 will be charged with interest, but current/recent unbilled transaction too!)

if ur statement balance is rm10/rm20/rm30/rm40, then just pay it! sweat.gif

if ur statement is zero (no balance) then no need to pay anything ~

(wondering why using credit card for only rm40 per month? better u use debit card, no gst and no annual fee) doh.gif

Hi..i never have a CC before.. planning to have one.. smile.gif

My salary is around 30k p.a

Which CC is the best for me? My first choice would be Maybank..

Hope u'll help.. thanks a lot!
*
if maybank, go to maybank with petronas logo, free for life with no conditions.

or if u dont want to pay for gst and annual fee with other bank, go for pbe / scb (they give cash rebates so u can cover back ur gst), but need to swipe 1x/month for 12 months so next year no annual fee.

pbe = public bank
scb = standard chartered bank
