i've getting alot of random halts on my streamyx lately ..

what could be the cause huh ?

my US is 29 and my DS is 28

i called tmnet support, all they tell me is to check on my switch, and my phone line .. is it really gotta to with any of those hardware ? instead it's just streamyx's problem?

UPDATES: more than 24 hours without disconnection

think this is a better sign... 4 those of u who confirm that your local snr margin is very low, try to keep on complain to tm 100 asking them to ask technician to go to ur house to check them out. thumbup.gif

Jehuty : it could be anything. its hard to pinpoint the problem exactly without doing trouble shooting. well most of the time, and sadly, the problem lies in faulty / old phone lines.

Any comment on this:

DSL Parameters and Status
Vendor ID: 00B5GSPN

Local SNR Margin: 33.5 dB

Is't my local and remote attenuation normal? And what is the best rate for attenuation?

3den: very common with aztech routers when there's too much load...always happens with my fren's router (argh he still refuses to lend me his to do "software dissecting", if he lends me i might be able to come out with a guide for u aztech router users out there.) the web commander version is the same for all aztech routers right?

phantom opera: despite ur high attenuation, ur SNR is ok, so i dont think u'll have any problem perhaps only 1 dc every 1-2 days

Previously my connection sucks. I did the following:

1. Replace the telephone cable (50 ft) to a better quality.

2. Replace the phone jack (the small box that connects your telephone to the telephone line outside your house).

Up until now I suffer very little disconnection, and my download rate is almost always hit at 50Kb/s (I'm 512kbp package).

Just dial to 100 to tell them that my Internet connection got very low SNR signal and what they tell me is they ask me to call tmnet helpdesk for help. (WEIRD) Afterthat i dial to tmnet 9515 and they tell me to call 100 for help. SO WEIRD~~!!! (CONFUSING)

i got no DC for 3 weeks for my connection but my SNR is low

Anderson : check under the admin -> alarm. anything written there? is it congested? if it is, reduce firewall max tcp connections to abt 65.

NAT = Routing , if you want to turn your modem into router......on certain modems , you nee to enable that to allow you to torrent and some people who wishes to convert their modem into router (by buying a switch , so that they can connect up to 4 pcs) , they can do that. but if you got 1 pc only , then no need

Is this ok? Well, since the past few days, something is going wrong with my DSL, once my place gets heavy rains and/or rain, my DSL light will start to blink, very often too. But then, my computer connection to the internet wont DC sweat.gif Well this is very frustrating as my DSL keeps DC'ing every time the wind or rain comes, wind at my place is quite frequent these few days. What's wrong with it? cry.gif cry.gif
