i already accept the job offer.im jobless, so i dont wnt to be idle 
but right now, i afraid whether i make a good choice or not 
1. what is CSR career path? after CSR position i mean? do they become project engineer or planning engineer? 
2. i more prefer to technical skills, honestly i not much liking the CSR position  
3. is DCSR is graduate engineering level. it is consider as engineering field? 
4. during my interview, they ask to me abt my field interest. so i explain i am more to instrument. so they decide to sent me to the project that involve instrument.that is not technical eh? 
4. what FSR stand for? field site representative?

Exactly what I'm trying to say! I actually chose not to have inside ppl. My uncle asked me if I wanna work in this one company even before I finished my studies. But I refuse to do it that way. Bukan sombong tapi sik maok kelak diungkit kemudian hari.. Yes it's hard to stick with this decision. Just hope I can find a job asap. With my own ability.

what you guys need to do is network! That's how i got my job and subsequently more and more after that. Just remember be good at your job and dun play politics, that will get you noticed and wanted. I've been very lucky going freelance and kept getting offers month after month that i pick and choose which job to take up. Seriously guys, you really need to get out there and mingle with the people in the industry and network. Put yourself out there.

i have one huge question to ask:
1.why is it difficult for fresh graduates to apply but it seems to be kinda easy for those without suitable qualification?
2.i have a friend working for an O&G without a degree. If a person without a degree is able to do the job...why cant the one with a degree?
p/s:correct me if im wrong or naive...

If fresh grad is not favoured then who is going to replace the seniors? Until when? If we we're not given the chance and get trained, how could we get into this industry? If I don't start my career in o&g now, then when should I? After 5 years gaining experience in other field? How can we become experienced when no chances given at the first place?

lol, im a guy btw. ya its in kuala baram...i think u should also know whick company as only a few dealing with woodworking. i guess its better to know someone in o&g to ease the job application, haha!! now just work 1st while searching for opportunities in o&g. applied alot even in brunei but no news.

all these courses are basically will be paid by the company once you joint them, as they are HSE requirement for working offshore.

University qualification is good enough for entering this industry. You have to be more specific which department suits you better before deciding taking some courses...

and again, all courses will be paid by the company as part of your development plan, no need to bother looking for yourself

Geoservices, Baker Atlas, Halliburton, FMC, Cameron - all applied, either no feedback or got rejected.
Not aiming on big companies only but for Shell, I have to apply cos I'm a scholar. Now that i got released, I'm happy that i went up until the FEP for SLB. Not aiming only for these two, but these two give feedback. Done with the FEP, now I'm back with job hunting. Still waiting for feedback from Baker though. I applied there way earlier than SLB but....haiz. why la no feedback... I've had enough getting frustrated.

I have received an offer with Tokuyama, in Bintulu. Semicon industry. 8 months training in japan next january. 5 years bond. Salary 2k + 100/day allowance (if I'm not mistaken). Haven't discuss yet on the job scope, increments and other benefits. If I go for this, it is going to be my first job. I have always wanted it to be O&G sector, just like my late father and my two brothers. Be the first engineer in the family, as the other only worked as ship crew and technician. If I receive this offer, then it's going to be a 5 years bond. It wouldn't be wise to turn back to O&G after 5 years, right? 5 years experience in O&G already enough to get a way better job.

I am trying not to be picky. But I really wanna make a living out of something I love doing. But I can't stay jobless anymore.......

I also no idea, my friend told fresh graduate normally take technical assistant post in Sarku engineering, she was an intern back then. Din give me much info tho, because she not very familiar also, she was working with workpack team.

that means its impossible to straight become field engineer? Even for fresh grad engineering degree holder, must start from technical assistant those low level 1st? I just wanna know what should i expect and what should i apply for.

A lot of ppl gonna be hired by MLNG or
a lot of ppl/contractor being hired just for the shutdown period???
