I also no idea, my friend told fresh graduate normally take technical assistant post in Sarku engineering, she was an intern back then. Din give me much info tho, because she not very familiar also, she was working with workpack team.

oh, because last time i heard most of the sub con offer this kind of work for fresh grad, actually i dont really mind if the salary is good enough, at least i can have exposure to OnG field. i am a materials engineer, but my result arent tat good, 2nd lower honors only..

that means its impossible to straight become field engineer? Even for fresh grad engineering degree holder, must start from technical assistant those low level 1st? I just wanna know what should i expect and what should i apply for.

oh, maybe contractor different. Dont know tho... it's good if straight get FE position, but i guess only top scorer can manage to get into those..

no idea tho, i havent send them the application form. I tried emailed them for enquiries but no reply, i guess i will do the walk-in instead.

Added on October 31, 2011, 1:24 pmI just got called by Sarku Engineering/SapuraCrest for interview. The ppl told me interview is done by their client, should be Shell Miri.. Any tips on the interview? What should i prepare? I think it is an offshore position.. Can anyone enlighten me what knowledge or technical thingy i should know?

Actually i asked for some help from my father friend which he is some sort of Chief Engineer in Shell, so i guess he helped me to pass my resume to Sarku Engineering. Hopefully i can get the job and share the process with u all. Sarku told me their client gonna interview me, which is Shell.. >< seems abit hard..

ya, if i am in then i will help ask around, last time i got 2 friends got in Sarku easily as technical assistant, it was like maybe 6months ago. 1 of them said that he 6 months unemployed, then try luck apply Sarku, got the job, then another try, got in as well lol..

No idea, i am also very confusing, gonna call them up tomorrow, was abit rush when i pick up their phone call.. 1st call is from Sarku say interview tis week anytime by their client, then later call by SapuraEnergy ask for my IC lol.. which i think is same la.. Btw, u call the number on the website straight into their HR? No need press what to which department?

Why west msia wan come over Miri for work? there alot job eh, alot more company over there.. how i wish i was at west msia, but it was infeasible to work there, so i choose to work at Miri, pay lower but at least i dont have to pay for living..

i wanna ask, if i am shortlisted for the sub-con like Sarku, now the subcon told me need to wait approval from their client, which is Shell? How is the chance of getting in? Sarku yesterday told me i am shortlisted and say interview this week ask me ok or not, but i dunno i got hear wrong or not, maybe is review i heard become interview.. Then today i called over because i wanna ask more information on the interview session, they say need to wait Shell approval first.. Kinda confused..
