i read about this somewhere when encountered this for the 1st time on my x10.
theres a terminal command to re-enable networks access..havent bother to try on spice tho

use rom manager to restore the backup can be done in recovery too provided u've flashed clockworkmod recovery. not sure about boot animations tho..

had fun with flashing today..lol (from spblr4.1)

tried twonights...less than an hour then

jellybean +dalvikcache on sd. : nice smooth rom.not too heavy...but too stock to my liking lol...

back to 2.1 then root etc to go to superbler4.2. stuck forever on the bootlogo.must be some step missed in the rush.

hmm back to 2.1

flashed bakpia cokelat.toying with it now. what i can say rite now is their boot anim is impressive lol

u can find em for rm599 in kch bro..with premium packs if im not mistaken

saw it rm599 @ wisma saberkas,tabuan jaya before cny.not sure price now tho.

anyone using superbler tried to remove the built in ADW launcher?

heres the step, which i altered abit to help in general. credits to who put em up in the 1st place
bear in mind, these steps are meant for installing ROMS that uses 'install from zip" method. not the .nb0 which uses SUT


if 2.1 (Eclair) pre-installed.

1. Go to the market and download "ROM Manager".
2. Install "UniversalAndroot" or "z4root" to root your phone
3. Get the "RomManager" app from market
4. In "RomManager" select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery"
5. Select "Commtiva Z71" phone (compatible with Boston and clones)
6. Select "Backup Current ROM"
7. Download [ROM of your choice] and [Google Apps a.k.a GAPPS thats compatible with it,if applicable]
8. reboot your phone in recovery mode (camera+low volume+power), or select "reboot into recovery" from ROM manager and with the wipe option clean all phone data (use the vol up & vol down button do navigate,trackball to confirm,END call to go back)
9. - use "install from zip...." option from recovery to update the rom. if applicable proceed to install the GAPPS,do not reboot yet
10. - Reboot and voila shiny new froyo

Make sure you backup all your apps and contacts and stuffs before doing this.

Stable 2.2 roms that i have tried & will suggest.some may have little flaws that doesnt affect the system at all,but the choice in the end really is ur preference of added apps, UI etc.

Bakpia Cokelat
Jellybean
Twonights

should something happen, you can always restore the backup you made earlier with ROM Manager

or

can always use SUT to go back to 2.1, you can always find these guides lying around this thread

im on superbler 4.2.

my advise dont go on CM7 nightly builds if ur phone is too crucial in ur daily life..yeah but 2.3 makes u sound cool tho

pick roms that are stable and good for daily use. in this case simply pick any decent 2.2

and CM7 batt drains slightly faster than superbler 4.2
