no idea man. I'm only starting in Jan 2014. But I reckon it's allowance to cover your petrol, mileage, parking etc? That's why it's "flexi" lol

what about kpmg and deloitte? They don't give similar allowance?

Did you apply through their website too? You called them and they'll direct you to the hr department? Then told them your name? Because there is no reference no. if apply through their website (if I'm not mistaken)

Called up both EY and Deloitte ady. Deloitte has reassessed my application and invited me over for an interview. May I know how's the assessment? Will there be group assessment or mainly individual interview.

EY has reviewed my application too and asked if I would be interested in tax due to my academic performance. They will get back to me as soon as possible.

Any advice?

Last time I rejected KPMG, they offered me RM6000 for basic salary for Senior position. I am really disappointed on what they offering for 5years+ experience. Come on la TheBig4 kot, a global and big company.

FYI I am not an accountant.

I had an interview at KPMG recently and the staffs really kinda left me a bad impression.

1)The receptionist is so sulky and look pissed.
2)The interviewer(HR staff) is quite rude,at least that's what I thought. When he was conducting the interview, he was looking at the paper most of the time from the start til the end (I'm serious when I said he was only looking at the papers even when he was asking the 1st question). I understand that he needs to take note and look at the resume but honestly I think its polite to make occasional eye contact with the interviewee.(he wouldn't even look at me when he is briefing the procedures! I don't think I look that hideous lol)

The career talks held by big4 firms said that their interviewer ware friendly and would try to make the interviewee comfortable etc. So I am naive to believe that and under the impression that they are indeed friendly.

Are big4's HR staffs really friendly as they claimed and I'm just the unlucky one?

I've started sending out resumes to the big 4s throughout this week. when might i be able to expect a reply from them? and my friend said that since its the non-peak period now, recruitment process is slowed down. is this true? thanks in advance!
