Hi guys, need some kind advice, I am currently a accounting finance degree unofficial grads waiting for my final results (expecting my results by end of july)
On the 1st week of June, i applied online for KPMG Audit Associate, 2-3 days later the HR department called me for confirmation, then he say will pass to the audit manager for review (I intern there before, but its in other department - internal audit alike, so the phone interview was pretty quick and straight forward). The HR told me their peak period just over, so the manager will have time soon to review the applications. he say normally wait 2 weeks+ will receive notification if they want me.

But until today no more news, should i apply again next week? (July)

Last time when i intern there, i notice they every month also got new intakes for Audit, should i try apply again? as in undergo all the same application process again, do you think they will entertain me?

among the big 4, i would say KPMG is my only possible destination. I applied EY last Sunday, by Tuesday I receive an Email saying they wont process my application further. I also tried PWC last week but i dont put much hope because my university is not really that popular and i m not very active in those extra-curriculum activities. 

Nowadays people saying accounting is full of number ,boring and so on ...
All now wanna study engineer, doctor, mostly lawyer...cuz they thinks thats easy.
World now already shortage of accountant !!!

It's not that hard to join big 4, but how long can one stays ?

Do you carry a bag when you go for the assessment or interview?

What types of bag do you use? A hand-carry laptop bag (but not bringing the laptop) or a bag at your back (like school bag)?

NONETHELESS, WE TRY TO SURVIVE THE 3 YEARS REQUIREMENT. Hoping that in the end, it does bear that fruit.

er... may i know what position can i apply to if i have 4.5 years exp in a normal firm... currently asst manager here... have chance to do listed cos also... but i dont know will big 4 take me?? even just a junior position...

its a big distinction between having a CA title, against 3 yrs exp in Big 4.

employers go crazy about it.

Then if it's inefficient, why are the big4 partners still keeping to this..unethical work ethic?

What's the use of learning of so much business process improvements in P3, improving internal controls in f8/p7, when it is hardly applied? Yes it is in theory, but shouldn't we apply what we;or they, are preaching?

hey guys, if you have a degree but with around/less 3.0 cgpa, but have an ACCA cert.

Do they still bother about the degree?

FYI my marks are borderline pass and with 1 fail even I joined them

not sure whether they really takes those marks and attempt into consideration

I left 6 ACCA papers, without any bachelors degree.
should i starting at a small accounting firm? or go for internship at big4 and hope for a job offer from them after internship?
Is it true that the audit procedure in small firm and big4 is different? Will the big4 discount my experience in small firm if i enter big4 in future?

ermm.. i dont think according to the question, there was even a choice for both
