Accas states minimum 3 years. Not flat ah. If u work with gold or platinum employer and in audit. Your per process takes only few minutes. If not you have to fulfil the performance objective.

Each big4 hr should have acca liaison staff. Seek them out for advice. What you need end of the day is the head signature for your exemption. Then applying acca membership very easy ady.

On Mia. If you are acca or CPA grad apply also very easy and fast. Must be acca or CPA member ah. If not u need to take test and endorsement.

The workload depends on supervisor right? Is it possible to negotiate with them? But this will give a very bad impression to them right? My friend working in EY told me, she will be grateful if she can sleep for more than 4 hours a day, dont even mention about time for studies.

i have completed my ACCA and aiming to join big4 but most of them screened me off on first. They just send me an email and rejected me. I think mostly because of my cgpa below 3.0. There was a career fair in last month, I'm actually went there and ask if I have any chance to join them. Some of them just take my resume and one of the guy from big4 tells me that big4 need a cgpa at least 3.0, and later on i question him is I could not join the big4 with acca. He din't really answer me and ask me to try it again and gradually by joining firm like Crowe Horwath first. What are the way I can get not screen off by their filtering system regarding my cgpa. Any help?

hahaha.. I don't even have degree.. The filtering system even pushed me away from their system. Tat day the guy also asked if i have any audit experience, the time i'm actually worked in a small firm for more than a year. Then he told me that maybe the methodology used is different and ask me join medium or medium large firm first. He suggests Crowe horwath as he mentioned they recruit alots from crowe horwath as well. Does that mean crowe horwath would accept cgpa below 3.0? It made me feel ACCA doesnt top up my failed (cgpa below 3.0) past result history.

if i have ACCA , i never would include my advance diploma/ degree result if its not convincing ...it gives you a better chance infact sometimes you can just show your completion certificate is enough, everytime EY call they ask whether you passed your papers in the 1st attempt or not, if you say yes being no how they gonna trace that anyways so just say YES...

Emm, if you look at big4 each firm very different in advisory prospect. Audit is very similar but not advisory. Each advisory got ranking one among big4. The more specialised their advisory dept is the better the advisory team is.

Audit background can try the following: > 50% chance
Internal audit : quite similar
Performance improvement : bit like internal audit but more on consulting on process. Harder to enter.
M&A : doing the presentation work on investment banking
Valuation : doing the calculation work side of investment banking
Restructuring : liquidation, law and admin

< 50% chance
Corporate finance : preparation of proposal (most ban auditor)
Risk management : covers a lot of things market biz ....
Forensic : likes it staff
Management consulting related

Btw eac advisory team very small. Like m&a entire team maybe 10 plus only. So they rarely feel the need to hire.

Best way in my opinion to get in, become good friend with partner or hod. If the fella endorse plus hr consent, you can immediately make the jump. Or get your manager endorse you to the partner.

  However, the assessment is in the next day and due to severe transportation problem I couldn't make it. 

May I ask, from Mid-tier firm (Crowe Horwath) to Big 4 with 3 years of experience(Senior), will they disregard my experience?

Also, will they downgrade my position if I were to apply to Big 4 as I plan to move to EY.

hey guys, anyone have any idea on BDO's salary range for audit S3 S2 and S1 position? Is their increment for senior on par with the big 4 (eg Rm1000 every year) or only starting pay for AA is the same?

do you have a rough idea on the salary range? say for example senior in big 4 for 4 years should be earning rm5k if i am not mistaken, what would a senior in BDO for 4 years would be getting?
