Eh? Why is that so? It has a 1Ghz processor with integrated graphics, right? Why is it isn't for gaming? Battery life?
*
You mean FIRST Gen 1Ghz, AND with Adreno 200. (not Tegra mind you)

Battery life normal one lar, play high end games or long term Angry bird don't expect it to last half a day. Other phones should be about same. 1

I'm curious how long that PS phone can last if u play high-end games non-stop... brows.gif

If you want gaming, try Desire HD? 2nd gen of 1Ghz, should perform better.

Idk, I don't get lag while playing.

There is a Vid out there (find yourself tongue.gif - it's not hard) That compares gaming between i9000 with Desire in Quake 3. i9000 was running smoothly while Desire was choppy.

Not sure about other lockscreen mods, im using widgetlocker , just have to hold the empty part of the screen ( the background ) for a little while, just like what u do to personalize the stuff at homescreen , then select widget , SimiClock  tongue.gif

edit : another way is , at the lockscreen , press menu button , then add  smile.gif

Got it all installed. Working fine. Then suddenly when i unlock, I get blank screen. Have to press the buttons a few times then only my main screen comes back. Still playing around with it. Removing the slide lockscreen that comes with widgetlocker. Still prefer slide down to unlock.

Occational gaming then no problem lar

(I'm gamer so you can expect I prepare 1 big portion for games tongue.gif)

So what other features you will use/want to use for a phone?

GPS is decent, after cold start that is.

Other features Desire works fine for me.
I don't use twitter, Friendstream and what not so all those better not ask me tongue.gif laugh.gif

Desire's my first PDA/smartphone and so far is leaving a good impression. rclxms.gif

Nothing else, just need the interface to be snappy. My previous G1 was already quite responsive and quick, can't wait to see how much better this performs =D

Which GPS ur using PAPAGO?? I wanna get a GPS software.... but Papago kinda expensive RM149 is zit?? It's only RM39 on Samsung Bada!!!! doh.gif

Played some games. Angry bird is fine, i play the iPad version too....other than a bigger screen, essentially same game and pretty responsive. Played Asphalt 5...pretty good 3D graphics, much higher frame rates than the Samsung Omnia 2 which my wife currently use. The Accelerometer also pretty responsive. Pretty good so far. Mobile games basically to kill time.(like today when queing to complain at Maxis centre)...i won't spend too much time gaming on mobile...rather play XBOX and Kinect on my 40" LCD....tongue.gif

Also performed a syncing of contacts from MS OUTLOOK 2010 with backup contacts from my Nokia to this phone, so far ok. But i haven't try syncing calendars or notes yet...

1st gen 1Ghz or 2nd gen 1Ghz, they're the same,
the difference is the GPU, Desire has Adreno 200,
while Desire HD has Adreno 205, thus the "newer" gen processor is better at graphic accelerating.
even Hummingbird CPU also the same, its only better at graphic accelerating
in terms of raw processing power, they're just the same.

I would only rate those 2nd gen 1Ghz as "slightly better" than Desire's

if you want a good gaming processor, there's no other than Tegra 2

partition the new card first then only transfer your stuff from the old card to the new card. Do a titanium backup of your apps then transfer that backup to your new card. icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm using Papago, but its jack sparrow version ph34r.gif
if you have 3G network, then maybe you can use Google Navigation as GPS

btw some useful app recommended,

Astro File manager to manage your SD files

RockPlayer and VPlayer to play any format of videos,

Documents To Go and Office Suite to view, create, edit MS word, powerpoint, and excel documents.

Wifi File Explorer for managing your SD card files via wifi using any internet browser,

Dropbox for syncing your files between desktop and phone, in fact anything that has Dropbox installed.

Pulse for the best news viewing app,

Remote Desktop to remotely control your desktop,

Gmote as a wireless mouse/keyboard for your desktop,

Vplayer good ar? I'm using a- cool2.gif Rock Player and it's alright.

Any significant difference in terms of cpu usage/smoothness(i think this 1 can't change? unsure.gif ) and interface?

Documents To Go - I thought that was pre-given LOL. HMM XD

What is so good about Dropbox?

Pulse is a nice app

I migrated from 2.3b to 2.3d without a wipe. It worked. Didn't need to restore anything back. Haptic feedback bug (cannot turn off keyboard vibration for email/sms and phonepad) still not fixed in 2.3d. Sigh sad.gif
