Budget: 800 - 1.2k

Type of photography u want to do : more to portraite, group photo etc.
Any specific models in mind? : nah dunno.
Any specific features u want? : pink or purple color, with almost everthing features, more to auto shoot

Basically im looking for a compact camera for my fiancee's bday present around may next year. and im planning to give her a compact camera (since she dont really like dslr coz its to big for her). At the same time i want to give the best camera to her, which is within the budget.

Below is a few models that i think fit the budget as well as the color except for Canon IXUS 300HS which have good review. Please also advise on other compact camera models which have the added value and more convenience for girl use especially.

both camera models in ur mind are really rocks as well
if u seek a camera with better autofocus, better low light...both cameras i think are identical in both performance...

if ur budget around rm2k...why not to consider oly pen or pana gf...
both camera have bigger sensor size compare to xz1 or lx5..
so better IQ that u will get during night shots...

so in my opinion...get pana gf3 is fair enough for u
increase the budget little bit..u might get twin lens kit icon_idea.gif

if compact cameras...im more bias to canon bro...haha
kalu aku la...aku suke IXUS 300HS sbb aperture lebih kecik so for night shots..lebih best la gambar

tp hmm.gif kalu tgk spec sume camera nih...
Nikon Coolpix S6200 lebih best la bg aku...

so IMO...angkat S6200 la

hey thanks for your suggestion bro. actually i'd already decided on the xz1. but then i'll probly get my cam around mid jan next year. so still have a plenty of time to do research.

not really sure bout m43 as ... i don really wanna invest in lenses. but on 2nd thought. with their size and a prime lens. seems good for street shots as well. gf n pen series' are about the size of xz1 n lx5 as well.

haha. gotta take my time trying out those cameras before deciding then. btw, how about the fujifilm x10? really like fuji's color too biggrin.gif

Any specific models in mind? : Nikon V1/J1, but would appreciate if any1 can suggest alternative model here~~
Any specific features u want? : Any function providing easy sharing features into the pc?

I am new to camera here, hence, i may miss out some important points when providing detail.
I am looking for a camera where it's convenient for protable, yet can provide me moderate quality of photo, nevertheless, Simplified UI is much needed as i m new(and i did not plan to be a pro-user)
sincerely appreciate for your advice...

Type of camera/lens/accesories : Compact Camera
Budget : < RM 800
Your Location : Penang
Preferable brand : Any except Olympus
Type of photography u want to do : Macro Photo / Video
Any specific models in mind? : No
Any specific features u want? : Compact camera with the Best Macro Lens that can be found in this price range ( < RM 800)

I would like to purchase a compact camera for my office.
The camera is mostly used for capturing images of reject / defect product & generating Work Instruction for Production process.
As my company product is tiny / miniature, & the budget given is very limited, I need a camera < RM 800 with good macro photo / video.
Is it possible to shoot macro video using compact camera? (I am newbie, therefore not sure about this)
If it is impossible to have such camera in this price range, then other models with higher budget are also acceptable.
Thank you for all of your advice notworthy.gif
