Have installed VIP10 yesterday, below was my speed test. Why upload speed higher than dload speed? Its normal?

I guess the TMnutters forgot to fix this on their FAQS (link on first post):


As most of us know, TM has silently, and unethically changed all VIP packages to have only basic channels.
When asked about this matter, this is what they said:

As we all know, everyone gets the 8 premium channels during the so called promotion period. What they're trying to say here is - ONLY VIP20 users got the 8 channels during that period since it was after all, a promotion. It was also not stated in the service acceptance form that this 'sudden' promotion for VIP20 users will be available only till October 31st. On the contrary, they did state on the form that the Unifi service will be free until end of July. If it was really a promotion I reckon they would include something along the lines of "the 8 premium channels will only be free until the end of October".

In some parts of the world, incidents like this would result in them being sued left right and centre.

Speed more than 10Mbps, yterday Hotfile download speed 600-700kbps. Now speed 50-10kbps with premium user. Should i happy?

I brought this up with TM.

There was one post mentioning that because of the Geofi settings, it detects as being in Brunei with a few IP ranges. However, this does impact DL speed and games as well.

I tested on other hardware thinking it was my hardware but upon changing IPs and certain routings, its works fine. Long term solution needs to be from TM though.

Until now, they have got no long term solution set out.

How u gonna make sure we get back the 8 channels? I had my VIP20 from August 2010 yet after so many calls to them they still did not get me back my channels.

what is your IP range?
so meaning just change the ip address and the problem is resolved is it?

i always try to get 110.X.X.X ip

if i get 175.x.x.x i will reconnect my PPoE, no need restart router actually.. till get the 110.x.x.x

175 range ip the performance not good... and unstable

Guys, Unifi just arrived at my residential area, I was wondering whether my existing Apple Airport Extreme is compatible with the service?

u can bridge it with the original router from them for a better wifi stability..
