You gonna to get means you haven't get it. Are you sure you want Arctosa? I think there is many other better choice within the price range unless you considering Razer Logo as the fundamental factor.
For me, you get Arctosa is splashing money without worthy return.

but have you tried other options? or at least read about them?
IMO MSX4 is easily a better keyboard compared to Arctosa

I heard some comment from internal staff of Razer. They said Scarab is not as good as Destructor. (just rumor, not sure how true is it)

Anyway, the picture shown it is bit blue and grey in color, but it is actually bit yellowish as I saw it during DL expo Dec2010

i didnt said arctosa is the best. but it meet my need. how i like my keyboard is.
msx4 is better than arctosa. but when i play games, i'll put my little finger at the left side of the keyboard.
and idk why, i like pressing my little finger there.

so the msx4 have audio button there. which is not so comfortable to me.
and that's why arctosa didnt dissapoint me.
eventhough i can buy cheaper keyboard with same or higher value, arctosa seem perfect for me.

no offence. icon_rolleyes.gif

ok, just didn't want the guy who asked for opinion on Arctosa get misguided,
because not everyone can change keyboard like you do tongue.gif

what if he read your comment and decided to get one,
if he's not happy with it he can't just simply change to another one like you,
so I'm just giving out a more objective comment so that he have more choice

to all razer users here, i have a question.
i've read some review about hard surface mouse pad, and it will slowly "eat" away the "•Zero-acoustic Ultraslick" mouse feet at the bottom of the mouse.
is it true? cause currently im using razer - orochi and plan to change my mouse pad. so im not sure should i go for sphex or goliathus - speed edition.

speed edition is okay one. i use goliathus speed before, it's very smooth. i nvr use sphex till now. dunno how is it. but goliathus speed edition is okay. in fact, i'm using control edition, my mouse feet is still okay. except a bit calar2.

advice. i also have use vespula before. sweat.gif really not worth it. reason. no quality. plus the razer logo easily worn out. and the wrest thing is very hard.

I also never means X4 or whatever keyboard else is best.
Just we given the comments are more based on the spec and performance instead of comfortability.

Furthermore, comfort with Arctosa design is also your own preference. (why not getting Lycosa?)
Anyway, i believe you can get used to other keyboard design as well after some period of usage (if you say you are looking for some other keyboard with extra feature)

i dont know how to commented on spec and performance. so i giving out my opinion on what i know. (instead of 'googling' and tell him what i don't actually experience about)

lycosa had a very bad record. my friend had one before i was 'involved' in this gaming peripherals. so advice by advice, i'm getting arctosa instead of lycosa. tongue.gif

Yes, it will.

Any hard mat will kill the mouse feet faster than soft mat, and the speed is depends on how rough is the surface.
However, mouse will skate more nicely on hard mat. Choose wisely. Myself using SS 9HD and Destructor.

There are some way to prolong the mouse feet lifespan. Cleans the mouse pad frequently to make sure there is no any tiny sand or rock on it, those thing will damage the mouse feet. Clean the mouse feet (surrounding of it), dust will stick and collected around the mousefeet, clean it to maintain the smoothness.

Vespula suck for me.

1.Stupid thickness as a hard mat.
2.Dont like the surface also.
3.A wrist rest which cant rest my wrist at all.

Lycosa design is sure nice...but u guys sure wanna get another? The issue with Lycosa isn't small. Random keys not responding & random keys stuck. Even a RM20 keyboard doesn't do that.
