looks like we are missing out on bentley and keane..
and look who are about to sign.. Is he any good??

Newcastle set to sign Larsson

Newcastle United have reportedly had a £1.5 million bid for Swedish winger Sebastian Larsson accepted by Birmingham.

Magpies manager Alan Pardew is eager to sign Larsson after his bid to to sign David Bentley from Tottenham Hotspur hit the skids.

The former Arsenal midfielder has six months left on his contract at St Andrews but has turned down improved terms from Birmingham.

Sunderland are also chasing the signiture of Larsson, but manager Steve Bruce is only prepared to pay £1 million for the 25-year-old.

£1.5m is good business for someone like Larsson
Arguably Bentley is a better player, but comes with a ridiculous price tag in the region of £6-8m if we manage to sign him on loan

Even IF we managed to sign either 1 of them, still think they will only be squad players since we'll be starting Barton alongside Nolan most of the time
But with injuries piling up, its good to have some extra depth in our squad

There will be live telecast of the FA cup game against Stevenage tmr at 1.30am (Sunday), channel 813, IINM

Btw, what is Tiote trying to do here lol

Come to think of it
We'll have another good crosser in R.Taylor when he's back from injury
Will be as good as a new signing, lol

Bentley went to B'ham. That means Larsson is free to join us, hopefully sweat.gif

I prefer Larsson to Bentley coz he is younger and cheaper too.

Are you referring to Larsson?

He's right footed and so is Ryan Taylor

Thats literally the same team that thrashed West Ham, just without Harper, Enrique, Jonas and Tiote

Thought Pardew would mix it up with some youth players, instead of risking our senior players on a potential dodgy pitch

Looks like he's taking the cup challenge seriously sweat.gif

An interesting name amongst the subs, Phil Airey, clinical Geordie striker from the reserves

Hopefully all of our 1st team players see through the game unscathed, mackems game is just around the corner

Speaking about them, they just lost 1-2 against Notts County in the FA cup, laugh.gif

Think we can win it big tonight with a strong line up like this one

the most boring game ive ever seen, why are we doing long balls? the pitch are horrible and i think barton should be on the right side, if not just swap smith with ferguson, perch have been......clueless
