Enuff. Comparing Hogdson with Rafa is like comparing a Proton Juara wit a Lamborghini Diablo.
And mind you, i hope you know who drives the Juara. Rafa never celebrates whenever we score. He is a calm and collective figure whether we are winning or losing not or no matter how cluster farked the situation is. Woy celebrates a goal like no tomorrow. Fine no problems with that. But when we are in dire straits, look at how he reacts? Slouching on the chair like a broken man or rubbing his face like a 10 year old kid. Frankly speaking, Rafa still has a commanding figure although some of his decisions were quite baffling. When his substitution works, he is hailed as a genius and when he failed, he was slated..being call a fat waiter and all sort of disparaging names the haters can think of. At least the waiter is trying hard to win the game! When we leveled against Newcastle, i said to myself, these are the moments where a manager can really make himself standout above the mediocre ones. Key moments which offers the coaches a chance to win a game with a masterful tactical change or sub. Woy failed the test miserably. Having said that, Rafa is no longer with us and we should move on. But my fellow reds, i will never forget the good times under Rafa's Reds. This post has been edited by carloz28: Dec 15 2010, 03:55 PM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Dec 15 2010, 03:23 PM) yup.. I was one of the fan who's been calling for Rafa's head for the last few seasons.. My wish was finally granted, but as a consequence, I need to pay a much higher price.. now I was haunted with misery, despair and dissatisfaction... But just because we have the worst replacement, doesn't make the previous was good either.QUOTE(carloz28) Rafa never celebrates whenever we score. For some it's called a motivational act to show appreciation and encouragement... As for Rafa his 'calmness' was heavily criticized by most of his x-players - poor man management some might say. |

But just because we have the worst replacement, doesn't make the previous was good either. Not man management, I think his Social Skills and relationship with his players are poor . That's why Xabi, Riera, Babel, Yossi (all who were brought in by Rafa himself) all felt unwanted and eventually complained/outburst/left.QUOTE(carloz28) Rafa never celebrates whenever we score. For some it's called a motivational act to show appreciation and encouragement... As for Rafa his 'calmness' was heavily criticized by most of his x-players - poor man management some might say. His man management is pretty decent, for he manage to grind out results in UCL. Carra, Torres and Gerrard mention a few times before that Rafa is very hardworking and studies tapes, plan strategies, work out formations, etc. Whole week he is focus on football. The similarities he have with RH is that he tends to be pretty defensive away from home and play long balls to the front, like how RH asks his defenders to "hoof the ball". The only difference is that Rafa concedes less goal away from home than RH. We usually get 0-0 draws or 1-0 losses away from home... I read about an interview from Chris Baird or something, he said RH was a very nice, kind and friendly man. A total opposite of Rafa's cool and anti-social Rafa. Chris also said that RH would say good morning to all the players in training or something like that. There is a forumer that that pointed out RH's friendliness MAY have boosted previously underperforming players like Lucas, Babel, Ngog, Maxi into decent players now. Heck, Gerrard himself admit he likes a manager to pat his back once in a while. BUT, RH's interview is pretty much a disaster compare to Rafa's interview. Rafa's not afraid of sticking it up to Jose, Fergie and Big Sam, when RH plays the nice guy and tries to friend everyone everywhere even though the other manager badmouthed his players. Rafa quit because he lost the dressing room due to his unfriendliness and problem with the owners/board members, but RH might be losing his job soon due to his bad results, and defensive/negative tactics away from home. Both different problems...It's such a headache now for LFC supporters... We need a manager who plays in bigger clubs before that is always looking for a win, no matter whether its against Madrid or Barca. No wonder people have been chanting King Kenny to come back, he was a striker afterall and he's probably not shy to attack. This post has been edited by kazuki85: Dec 15 2010, 04:56 PM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Dec 15 2010, 04:23 PM) very true, sometimes having stats can be an ally.or in some blur guys attaching without finding the actual fact behind it. but its all clear to see on the pitch these days. its not the fear we strike at our opponents but the fear of losing even before playing them. The sign if defeatist look in the year of the players when we have a general (Woy) who is too meek, will not surmon the lions into the hearts of the liverpool players. 'imagine' your manager prep talks before the game (or something like this given the media QUOTE Go forth...er guys, err do the best you can, i have NO optimism that we'll (team) do well but just try...(lah) you know, It doesn't bother me because I can't do more than I am doing (to you team) I can't work harder, I can't work better. I have great confidence in my ability, I don't think there is any reason not to have. This post has been edited by koolspyda: Dec 15 2010, 05:09 PM |

King Kenny is the best candidate for me, we need someone who has a great experiences of being successful and has a great knowledge of how to become a winner...even jose comin from small club before he turn tis good... a big sam wuld be nice |
