The issue is simple. We have now employed 3 different managers in a span of 6 months give or take. This would have a profound effect on our team or any other team for that matter. I cant imagine whats it like for the players.
Half a season to go and they still have not adopted a consistent battle plan. They had Rafa's ultra pressing tactics at one point, then trained to play passive defensive football under Roy, and now they reverting to something else altogether. How in the hell are you suppose to find form or any consistency when theres no stability in the management and coaching department.
On top that, the players are under pressure to perform and are scrutinized for every mistakes they commit. And if thats not bad enough, teams do not fear us. They impose themselves on us because we're like a wounded animal there for the taking.
The king and the boys obviously need time but unfortunately time itself is against us. Theres no room for trial and error - every point matters.

have faith. with KD at the helm, he has good ideas & the right motivation for LFc. everything he said to the press on our defeat made sense. I didnt understand RH & why he did what he did (comments) all this, sign back rafa now. 'rafa will do a better job' is useless, ok fine, it was suppose to be joke. only 4days has passed. to me KD has more enourmous cloud to the lfc faithfuls then 5 rafas, well make it 3 rafas. melwood will have a different atmosphere now, I hope there are positives to instill & key players will paly a massive part. we have been dismantled to a mediocre side with the loss of players like monster marsh, maybe we may never get another monster marsh but I'm positive that the storm is slowly but surely clearing. I've no evidence on how I feel but call it my own six sense. This post has been edited by koolspyda: Jan 13 2011, 04:29 PM

And I call myself a Rafa lover, damn it. I do not know about any of you but I love seeing Kenny managing the team with not much regards about the result, the reason there was no more love if there were any towards Woy was because of his tactics, his press conference, etc. King Kenny did not manage a club for a long period but we can't deny that he's light years better than Woy in terms of words, tactics still not there yet, but looks promising.
Rafa's interviews or press conferences were good, but King Kenny is better and he knows what is Liverpool about and most importantly, the boot room.

This is the first time since a while, that I can't wait for our next game. Go KD! And yeah, I'm pretty sure you can 'solve the problem' only in training ground. Heh. Kenny Blackpool verdictQUOTE Kenny Dalglish believes the problems which led to Liverpool's 2-1 defeat at Blackpool are all solvable on the training ground.

Not long ago, we were all excited by the prospect of Agger-Skrtel partnership in future. Doesn't look so promising, eh? To be honest, Skrtel's form had been shitty since start of season. I always thought with him playing so poorly, young wilson will get the nod and play alongside Agger/Carra. Too bad, up until now, I haven't see so. Even the experienced , solid Krygiakos rots on bench. With the everton game upcoming, I do hope...Krygiakos will start ahead of Skrtel...We need his aerial ability to battle that of Cahill...

For me yesterday was a case of a team with new manager and new tactic (that players haven't fully grasped it) VS a stable team. I was hoping for a positive result. But, being realistic I think the result should not be a surprise.
I think it could be easier to get away with a point by playing defensively especially after they equalized. But kudos to KK. He chose to stick with the plan and try to get a win. It could have go either way. I think the game itself serves as a training for the players to familiarize with KK tactic and definitely will expedite the process. And KK can also fully asses his players.

*Sigh* People tend to forget Roy had the entire pre-season to prepare his players while Kenny has literally zero time to for United. Immediately after his appointment he is asked to manage the team in what would have been a tough week for Roy (United, Blackpool away and the derby), so cut him some slack. The players need to shoulder some blame as well as both goals were results of poor defending.
This Sunday will be his return to Anfield as Liverpool's manager. Being a Merseyside derby, you can bet the atmosphere will be electric. Let's see how far that and the Kenny factor could take us.

QUOTE(chenwfng @ Jan 13 2011, 04:08 PM) In my opinion, I feel that having Gerrard as the 2nd striker or playing in the 'hole' might help Torres have more scoring opportunity. Torres needs someone with the passing ability like Gerrard not just anyone passing the ball to him at any chance. Gerrard has the ability to read a strikers movement when attacking. Of course, it would be better if there was a good passer to pass the ball to Gerrard and Torres. That would make our attacking force more than sufficient i believe but it won't happen anytime soon I think as the team needs Gerrard to stay at CM to help defend. The back 4 is the problem. Nothing to do with where Gerrard playing Liverpool will win 3-0 if Gerrard play in the "hole"

QUOTE(rhoyo @ Jan 13 2011, 03:24 PM) i agree .. liverpool was an exciting team to see . now it becomes an ordinary beatup team . cincai team these days sigh .. i miss the old days of 3-1 and then win it 4-3 era .. the comeback era i mean . . haishh.. mind you,its just 2 seasons back when we were playing one of the most eye-catching football with passes spraying around the field, we can change whether to attack from left or right effortlessly, now even pass to a nearby player seems difficult... now, the believes that they can be champion is gone, the whole teams looks disillusioned...
