Just read Reina comment on us not to rely on certain players only. "The win was achieved without Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher and Reina added: ''We have a big squad, there are not only three in the team. We have 24 men and we are all here to deliver." Source

Milan Ace Ronaldinho Linked With Liverpool MoveQUOTE Liverpool are the latest in a long list of clubs pursuing out of favour Milan playmaker Ronaldinho.
The Brazilian, 30, is designed to amuse, but his season thus far has been far from jovial. He has become peripheral to plans under Massimiliano Allegri, who has preferred Robinho.
Ronaldinho's lack of regular football has led to speculation his time will be up in January as promises of a new deal have been placed into the background by Milan.
Itasportpress now claims Liverpool are looking at the former Barcelona man. Roy Hodgson is said to be looking for a creative side-kick to line up alongside Fernando Torres.
Ronaldinho would arrive on a free deal as his contract at Milan expires in June, leaving him free to negotiate with other clubs.
However, Liverpool would have to convince him to drop his €7.5 million per annum wage demands. Los Angeles Galaxy and a host of Brazilian clubs are said to be keen also. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/85/england/...-liverpool-move

QUOTE(farisq @ Dec 7 2010, 09:18 PM) Once Gerrard is back, I want to see him play behind Torres in 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 with him just behind Torres. I would even consider him playing on the right since it worked quite well in Rafa's 1st season (or is it 2nd season?). But I think only Rafa has the gut to do that. Anyway, for us to be less predictable we need others to be more involved in the attack build up. Lucas can play through ball as good as Gerrard. Merieles can shoot as good as well. On the 3rd goal, it was counter attack football as its best. I notice that Reina always wants to play the ball early. But he can only do that if the player makes early run and find space. Last nite Maxi, did just that and it paid off with him at the end of that move. Gerrard scored plenty of goal with starting at right flank before. With Miereles clearly more suit or perform best at centre, no harm to put Gerrard on the right as well.

That wont be possible with Gerrard "ego"...for now Kuyt will remain at right, or we wait until Jan for some transfer hopefully

i wonder if those rumour mongers internet writers ever think twice before spewing stuff... first thing i saw today was a report linking us to scott parker, and now ronaldinho???
haven't the new owners repeatedly stress that they are looking to buy players who are closer to 20 rather than 30?
If anything, a rumour involving us and Andy Carroll would be much more believable, no? I won't mind either... he's been very decent for a long time, is reportedly unsettled and young. Pity he's also said to be arrogant and has a rather messy disciplinary record eh.
edit - 6 foot 3 right, looks like Woy's gonna stay anyways so would be a perfect kinda player for his tactics. If he's gonna stay, he needs to be given a fair crack/stab at success. Also, paying 15 million for a young highly rated Englishman next month would be akin to us telling the world (or at least them Brits) that we are back in business.

Unless Liv can play like Arsenal, or MU type of flow football, a big centre forward that has strong aerial ability, power hold up the ball is a big plus, especially if playing long and hoofing type of football time particularly in away match that so far very very poor record.

I would love ANdy Caroll to play for liverpool to be honest. He suits Woy's tactic perfectly. Tall, strong englishman that can hold the ball and is very good at the air. Also he's young age is a plus.

well people complaint about the lack of natural wide man except kuyt(joe isn't a natural winger, while max is more of a point man,babel....) and redundant defensive lineup(lucas-raul-christian),right?
