USB Host cable samples sent... Waiting for reviews from Hong and SEA... biggrin.gif

Will immediately order as soon as they confirm it can be used with the N900... It's confirmed to work as a CA-157 replacement though.

In the mean time, there's 4 more spaces FOR THE SPECIAL PRICE... biggrin.gif

Hi, I want one,  can COD in Shah Alam? If yes,
Pls PM where, when, contact.
TQ.

It's a bulk. You order first, it will arrive in 2-3 weeks. Then can COD (if I'm in Shah Alam at the time).

That's the best way to get it cheaper... I mean, I'm just the middleman... biggrin.gif

Roger sifu... Order noted... Now just have to wait for SEA to confirm that it works with the N900... As for the N8, it should work no problem unless the unit is faulty... As long as your pal doesn't try NTFS HDDs lol... biggrin.gif

Whose birthday???

Anyway, update on the hostcables. BULK 1 has been closed, BULK 2 has been opened. Awaiting confirmation that the cables can indeed work on the N900, then will place my order to the dealer.

Ok.Just got Eiraku's cable for test.

Overview of the cable 1st:
Overall the cable look quite sturdy. This cable won't dent easily as the af-af adapter.
In terms of physical quality CA-157 still the better cable but not by much. For RM12 this cable definitely worth it.

Hostmode:
No autotrigger like N810.You'll still need to mount the device with h-e-n.
But small price to pay to have a good working hostmode.
Transfered 100MB of files without any problem.

Conclusion:
This cable works with N900.But still needs software trigger.
For those who have the af-af adapter, this cable work just as well as the adapter method. It's just if you guys want a much reliable cable I'll recommend this.

Can curik this and put on my bulk thread?

BTW, it's RM14 now, after promotional period edi hehe, still a reasonable price for a very decent CA-157 alternative.

But yeah, I like the ori CA-157 look too. It's very Ikea lol.

Problem is (besides the MRSP or the original cable), when imitations do come in, usually the cable part is of low quality. I had a CA-101 copy that had the wire sheath/cover split in half after only two months, which is mangy to say the least.

No problem...

Never mind then...Add my name in 2nd bulk.

I can't really comment on the solder quality till I cut open the cable. But from what I see from outside(it's transparent) the soldering quality isn't that bad & the cable didn't break even when I use extra amount of force on it.
But only time will tell how long this cable will last.
