agreed to comment that they dont look like a rising star at the moment
but this youngs are good enaugh.. still too early to judge how they will grow

SAF may hv underestimate west ham and making too much changes but the fact that league cup always been a competition for the youngster for united its understandable line up

dont think any bookies, pundits saw we losing by 4 when see the lineup
its just unfortunate no show from some player

yes, you don't expect fergie to put the same 11 that blast blackburn last week as it only league cup ...

it serve a good lesson to obertan, macheda, evans, smalling and hernandez ...

the midfield trio of fletcher, anderson and giggs just powerless ...

Obertan was what you call a "rising star" before he had an injury at Bordeaux/Lorient..Anderson was a rising star too when he was at Porto..don't really know what Macari was talking on when it was an off day not only for the youngsters but seniors as well..They don't play week in week out, so they shouldn't expect them to shine everytime when they play only a game in 2/3 weeks

I don't mind if United legends making those kind of comments. Perhaps this their way of giving support and trying to instill some kind of

encouragement for the youngsters to do better. Make them at least mentally stronger. Perhaps with these kind criticism, the gaffer would be able to see

which of them react positively towards criticisms. SAF is not always straightforward, you will never what to expect. I certainly didnt expect CR7 to be

the player he is today (well only expect a bit, if not for CM/FM all those years ago tongue.gif ). Perhaps a few of them wouldnt be legend, but its not about

the individuals. It's about the overall team as a family. United family. Unlike those who claimed Manchester is BLUE. Pah! whistling.gif Need further evidence?

I just hope our players manage to stay fit. If we can stay fit,and have some chemistry going,we could easily still be top of the league come the new year.

We have very tough back to back games and we must stay mentally strong.

December is traditionally a made it or break it month for BPL teams... remember how massive was Newcastle's lead on Man Utd one of the years? brows.gif

Man Utd have been stronger and shift into 2nd gear from December onward ever since BPL started, I expect we to do better... go go Devils!

QUOTE(jhchong @ Dec 2 2010, 08:17 PM)
"Some of the defending was naïve," said Phelan. "There are lessons to be learned from the defending point of view with individual players and hopefully they will take something from that.

"You can learn from defeats and we need them to learn quickly. They are quality players but they are young and they are going to make mistakes.

"It's how they deal with those mistakes and how they react. So we'll be looking in the next few days to see what character they've got and whether they can step up to the plate next time."

nothing specific on who will be axed....knee-jerk reaction again from the tabloids

Fabio was plagued by injuries, and had only a handful game since then

Macheda only scored when he's a substitute, but then again, most of the game he started was a 4-5-1, where he's the lone striker...and like Berbs, he clearly cannot play alone upfront

Bebe...he's still too rough...can't expect him to suddenly turn into shiny gems in like, 3 months after he leap from a minnows to United

and as for Obertan...well lets just say he needed more games

in short, the whole team was off form on that night, nothing clicked, and people these days are so painfully impatient towards youngsters...not everyone is Messi you know

Evans, Gabriel Obertan, Federico Macheda, Fabio Da Silva and Bebe are all in danger of being Old Trafford outcasts after inept displays during West Ham's 4-0 thrashing of the Red Devils at Upton Park.

Wow typical ABU news. Come on Evans is still class right. How many times he did perform with Vidic with absence of Ferdinand? None of them deserve to be axe at this season or next especially Bebe laugh.gif
