Both are effective. Both score lots of goals. Difference is that these days CR is a goal scorer only. It makes him dangerous in front of goal, but outside of that, in terms of creating chances for others he's not that good anymore. Messi is better in that regard, and for me the better player right now. Both are the top two though. I would love to have both of them with us.

Ronnie certainly has his fair share of assists, just not as much as Messi..He isnt that creative type of player, he's more explosive and doesnt involve that much in build up play..In Barca apart from Xavi and Iniesta, Messi is the creative force, just like what he does for Argentina where he tends to create more rather than scoring..

That's what sets them apart. Messi can be effective in scoring goals himself, along with setting others up. Ronaldo is a goal scoring freak. That's all he does these days, not that it's a bad thing, but he could have been so much more. He was a 20/20(goals/assists) player for us, before turning into a pure goalscorer in his last two seasons with us. I would like to see that Ronaldo again(along with a bit more goals).

I would love to have them either of them in my team. Two best player in the world right now.

the 20/20 one was only one season iirc, 23 goals I rmb..then he started to turn into winger cum striker, more strength, better in air, gets into the penalty box more often.. before that he was on the flanks most of the time, offering crosses, much like what Nani does now..

think their contributions shouldnt be based alone on goals and assists... for example Ronaldo has more influence in the game than Messi ie he brings spark to the team when the team is down a goal or two..no team can compete with the level of creative-ness that Barca has, pass till your death and then score..that's a big factor why Barca scores a lot and hence their players have more assists

Villa really suits Barca right? Just really fit in with Barca. I'm sure he will do wonders if we did sign him

That really sums up every derby in this world. Madrid really looks hapless in this game. The defence is far worse than Blackburn. Seriously I want Barca in CL as soon as possible.
