Hong Kong lures ex-Red

What are your impressions of the city so far?
It’s a vibrant place with skyscrapers everywhere and a real energy. The people are very warm and courteous everywhere you go, so it seems like it’ll be a great place for me to come and spend a bit of time. United are well supported out here so people know and remember me. A lot have come out to see me and speak to me at training and even outside the hotel, which is quite humbling.

Hong Kong? Warm and courteous? U sure u landed in the right place, Mr. Buntut? laugh.gif

here's a questions that can help u in both aspects:

1 a)derive a quadratic equation which best describes United's form from the start of the season till the end (7m)

b) based on the derived equation, discuss the possibility of United topping the league by Christmas (3m)

PIG certainly needs to step up his performance. It may seem weird for me to say this, coz he doesnt look like he did any blunders. But look back at highlights, and check out his positioning for the 1st and 2nd goal; basically stranded in no man's land. Never have i seen VDS standing so far out of the line without the intention of punching/catching the ball. The 3rd and 4th goal doesnt seem that bad, maybe something to do with half time review and all. But still, he really needs to be certain of his positioning, only leave the line if he is having the intend, and is confident, to be able to prevent opponents from getting the ball.

PS: i'm not singling him out, this is what i notice about the goalkeeper from highlights. Defenders also have their faults, would be too long if i were to discuss 1 by 1 laugh.gif

Added on December 1, 2010, 12:47 pmBTW, i lol-ed at that Chelsea Jinxer. Once our Sheep start doing his magic, got "false prophet" coming out, and even use the MU's result last night to claim his power laugh.gif

I am sure and positive the quality is very much different than what we have in our local store albeit SG or MY. Bought a couple of jerseys from UK directly and the materials are different. Feels more soft and comfy. The ones that I bought from either SG or MY, it is a bit 'kasar'. BTW, if you're planning to go to the UK, don't buy from Megastore. Mahal. Just check any sports store like Lilywhites and so on.

Just to be clear, Megastore's price rarely comes down. While other sports stores have those discounts and bargains. I made a mistake by buying from Megastore and charged around 40pounds++ while when I was visiting Lilywhites, the price for the same jersey is around 30pounds++. That said, other merchandises might not be found except at the Megastore.

Dunno how many times i said, it's the same regardless of where you buy it, it was made in the same factory anyway! dun believe head to Jersey Talk and ask, Jerseyman or any other regular collectors and they will say the same thing.

Are you referring to the 0607 away, the white coloured one? If you are referring to this season, no way is it made in Morocco, all home and away, even gk shirts, are made in Indonesia. Doesnt matter from UK or Msia, all Indonesia. i buy shirts from UK btw.

If you still think it's different, show some pictures in the Jersey Talk, coz of course there are some exception, but those are minority case.

i browsed the jersey at local shop(ground floor, wisma warisan, dekat tempat jual donat,Kota kinabalu).they sell for rm45,and i saw the "made in morroco" being stamped underneath
*
for that price, that's Made in Siam la laugh.gif Ironically, the away shirt for last season (black with blue V) was made in Thailand, so is the goalie kits...home was made in Indonesia. And for this season, all shirts are made in Indonesia, and i am referring to UK shirts.

past season shirts are made in Morocco though, until last 2 seasons Nike prefer SEA countries, particularly Indonesia.

IF i'm not mistaken, the TEAM's clean sheet record was broken byBlackburn...but that game, it was Kuszczak who was playing, so VDS's personal record is still intact. when he comes back to play, his own run continues until the Newcastle game. Correct me if im wrong

Nice info regarding the jersey. Funny story though, my friend went to Spain and eventually to the Bernebeu. He was thinking of buying Real Madrid

jersey there, but he was surprised to see it was "Made In Malaysia"  tongue.gif  rclxms.gif Not sure true or not, but still quite funny. In ironic kind of way.
*
As far as i know, Adidas jerseys are either made in China or made in Thailand..but i've saw a friend's Puma goalie shirt, made in Malaysia. Ghana goalie i think..

Nicky Butt scored a free kick on his debut, but missed a penalty as well  laugh.gif

rumours are saying he is paid 200k pounds per week to come out of retirement, he denied it..but if and only if it's true, then that's quite an insane amount of money for a 35 year old  sweat.gif
*
Is it me or he is really really hyped up there? i mean, he seems to be the playmaker, and every single set piece taker laugh.gif He's supposed to be a central mid who are better defensively, maybe he learns some new tricks in Newcastle United tongue.gif

laugh.gif And yet, I know bunch of them hate us Asians. Scared of Oceanians teams and declared themselves as a part of Asia. Pffft. Mehh.
*
dont reli get what u mean..if u mean Racism, not really. it's a pretty diverse country if u ask me. lots of local asians as well.

and going into AFC is easier route for them, while for AFC, brings in another big profile is good for business, win win. if follow the Oceania path, Australia would have to beat other countries like 10-0, and only able to meet the loser of the AFC group to qualify.

i thought Oceania's team need to play against South America's 5th place for a qualification berth? changed d ka?
*
i think change d...thats the 2006 edition, where Australia meet Paraguay, and euphorically win on penalties (John Aloisi became national hero). But for 2010, New Zealand played Bahrain If im not mistaken.

The fact is Oceania doesn't have a fixed spot for World Cup, and it's a danger because the play-off is a gamble. For example, Australia needed a penalty shootout to qualify for 2006 (one of the last country to qualify), but by winning the AFC group stages they ended up being on of the first countries to qualify for 2010.

Lol serves them aussies right. Those guys are really racist. To chinese, indians, basically all asians, and even blacks, who they call wogs.

What i dont understand is the world cup in qatar. You dont even have to be cynical to wonder if FIFA were more interested in money than anything else..
*
Lol. If racism is the measure whether or not a country gets the WC, then USA, England, Qatar and in fact, every single country won't deserve it.

Apart from occasional crazy hobos and bogans, I don't really encounter race issues from my everyday Aussie peers. Maybe those people I know are intellectual reasonable people.
