Once I unplugged the cable (after it said Fully Charged) it will go to 99%. So I'm assuming it won't go to 100%.

QUOTE(qunox @ Nov 25 2010, 06:41 PM) Hey ultramen, u got the point, i think if wan to fully charged our g5 to 100%, it takes around few hours, mayb like at least 4 hours.I do think you should put the battery percentage indicator problem under the FAQ at page 1. It's common problem for G5. The percentage shown by the phone is actually not the real percentage of the phone battery level. Is common to get 40-60% of battery charge just after one minute charging time. When actually the phone haven't been charge to that level, that's why some user experience sudden drop of battery after really short period time of using the phone. While charging from 0% to 60% require less than a hour (maybe like 15 minute or so), getting from 90%-100% will require for me at least a 2-3 hour of charging. So in short the phone is lying about its battery level, a just charge till you get 100%. and trust me to get to 100% require really long time of charging. i think tis is normal. and usually if charge thru usb, it would take even longer time, as it is indirect electric supply from computer or car and voltage difference. if u use the charger to charge, i m sure will be faster. QUOTE(qazkurei @ Nov 25 2010, 07:03 PM) is rooting my phone the cause why i cant login to google to download and install apps in the market?what can i do with it?badly needed help... huhuhu i did root my g5 too, never experience problem in logging in to google.is it ur wifi or mobile connection setting problem? u got to check properly is it ur line is reali ONLINE. QUOTE(shadow111 @ Nov 25 2010, 09:13 PM) how to say it.. it's not the matter whether the wifi is strong or not.. basically for hidden ssid wifi, it is normal for tis to happen.the wireless at my sis's hse has the ssid hidden with wep.. then i manually key in the ssid and the wep key.. i was able to connect to the wireless.. let say now i move away from the AP to a place where i cant receive the signal, so my connection will be lost. when i go bck close to the AP, the wifi won't be auto connect the connection back.. i need to manually turn of the wifi and then turn it on in order to have the connection again. usually hidden ssid wifi have to use together with setting devices' mac address into modem. if like tis, devices usually able to connect to internet faster and easier. for ur case, ur g5 cant connect automatically if u are away and back, mayb is due to the refresh and scanning for network for g5 is not working immediately. i think g5 only do scanning for network in a longer time interval bcz wanna save battery. it is not like computer or laptop which always scan for network. I don't really know what it is Froyo is a firmware name for Android OS version 2.2 and it is currently the most demanding android OS for android devices. So can this current G5 version being updated when Froyo comes out in future ? Or I should wait for the G5 that has Froyo ? our g5 is running firmware called Eclair aka Android OS version 2.1 now. many ppl hoping the come of Froyo is becz of this newer firmware can bring us lotz more advantages in using g5. for more information, u shud do some google search and get to knw more abt android 1st. no need to wait for g5 with Froyo, as it may take very long time to wait, especially we r in malaysia. if u r planning to get the g5, if Froyo releases in g5, u also can upgrade urself. i m sure it is not difficult. Hey guys, my girlfriend is considering getting the Galaxy 5. Read mixed reviews about it, thus I thought I'd ask for the opinion of the Galaxy 5 users themselves.
Is inputting text a problem with it's tiny screen? Does Swype help? Does the screen size hinder your Web browsing? Too small for practical/continuous use? Are there a lot of apps that are not compatible with the smaller resolution? Is there any compatible GPS navigation software? It was pretty snappy when I tried it out, even live wallpapers ran like a dream. Although I was told it starts to crawl once you have all your apps, mails and contacts in the device. Any truth in that? Thanks in advance! Hope to get the girl into the wonderful world of Android. |
