another keyboard app recommendation.. crocodile keyboard. with triangular keys. recommended for big thumbs..

i m not sure for others, but after i did the settings change according to wat khaez provided, my satellite locking reali become very fast ady.

even tried so many times, also very fast.
for those cant make it work, i think u can also follow the setting, as the setting wont affect ur normal function of the phone or make gps working worse, so worth to try.

at least it is proved to be enhanced the speed to lock satellite by many g5 users here.

sorry to hear it didn't work for you.. have u tried the reboot method? are u using a 3rd party app to power on ur gps? if yes, try turning it on manually using the settings in android..

oh.but how to change it to handsent message?

just install handscent.. and then set it to default. then u might want to disable notifications on the stock sms app..
