too bad it didn't work for you.. try this.. turn on your gps and then reboot your phone.. or try the "trigger download" that I mentioned on my earlier post.. notworthy.gif

Just try the trigger download thing as mention.. but when i click on it, it does nothing at all..
is this normal, or shld i c something appearing on the screen/etc?

you need to have internet access when using the trigger download.. and if I'm not mistaken.. it doesn't really show a popup or anything.. so.. any luck?

let me try later with internet access.. currently in office, only hv office wireless (only able to connect using company nb)

test in my office, totally no satellite in view.
can only try it later when goin out for lunch..

hey guys, Please advise how do i make the SMS message show the date and the time receiving the message. As my inbox only show the date but without the time.

are you under wifi? because sometimes googe maps uses the network to determine ur location n not the gps. I have read somewhere that there is a slight problem with the gps of G5.. and some people find it that if you turn on ur gps, then reboot ur phone, ull get a faster lock..

All no backlight, included the volume key as well...........

Google maps using wifi to lock first, the wifi locking is useless for navigation.
Meaning when you move, the signal wont move

finally manage to import all my contact from my old phone to G5 using the csv file format in KIES..
almost time to switch over from old phone to G5.. smile.gif

smile.gif Most of us wont use stock sms ("Messaging"), we use Handcent SMS

i want to buy galaxy 5..maybe tomorrow.. any recommended outlet/individual? which can install GPS sofware for me is much better.

ya.. go with handscent, n u should try taking a look at smart keyboard while ur at it.. much better qwerty than stock..

another keyboard app recommendation.. crocodile keyboard. with triangular keys. recommended for big thumbs..
