I've learn my lesson last time

When whole market up, bluchip move first.

2nd & 3rd liner 'MAY' move up.

But when market down

2nd & 3rd liner 'ALWAYS' move down  doh.gif

i learnt my lesson playing with fire (Lee S.E.) that 90sen privatisation 'show' and subsequent EPF selloff was my first major burn in the stockmarket.

OSK adjusts Petgas TP to 13.65, upside 22%.

I wonder what will happen to CI if Petgas does cheong up 22%

QUOTE(wyt012 @ Dec 2 2010, 10:16 AM)
Yes, you will kena buying in on T+4 which will b 10 BIDS HIGHER than the T+3 closing price . So if
you over sold at 2.08, assuming T+3 closed at 2.15, then your buying in will be 10 bids plus 2.15 which is 2.25.  icon_question.gif
*
ok thanks a lot icon_rolleyes.gif

theoretically speaking, if share consolidation happens n the stock jumps off a cliff, n I oversell.. I can untung? (kinda like shortselling)

E.g: I oversold at 2.08, stock limit down to .. 1.5 at T+3. then 10 bids above 1.5 is 1.6, so I indirectly shorted a share from 2.08 to 1.6? tongue.gif just exploring the curiosity here

QUOTE(firett @ Dec 2 2010, 10:29 AM)
teehk_tee,
short selling is an offence!!
buying in is for genuine mistakes (e.g you thought you have the shares but in fact you don't have or you sold 5000uts whereas your account has 2000uts only, etc)
everybody would definitely "sell" shares in a falling market and reap profits
even after the 10 bids penalty if your "theoretical arguments" are justified,
that's why "short selling" is a criminal offence !!
*
yeah i know that short selling is .. not allowed. Just curious whether in "theory" this sort of mechanism might work.

i'm running this scenario based on the assumptions I accidentally (no intention) oversold the shares (because i'm a noob) and based on the info that I have to buy-in by T+3.

but i got the answers now. so, thanks for your feedback icon_rolleyes.gif seems like there's sort of a loophole also..

if know for sure then i dont need to work lio.  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

first hour vol at 100k ... TA, the earlier high was 1.39, so that level may switch to support. so at 1.4x there is less pressure to sell .  blush.gif  blush.gif

but this is still intraday, you need a close at end of day.
*
nod.gif if it can close above 1.4, then 1.4 probably will switch to support.

QUOTE(wyt012 @ Dec 2 2010, 11:04 AM)
Yep, if you are lucky enough. rclxms.gif  In another case, if let say the buying in is not done in the morning (normally it will be done) on T+4, and a big jump in price closed high in the morning, then they will take the T+4 morning closing price plus the 10 bids as the buying price in the afternoon. Don't worry, most of the time it's done in the morning (just to inform that this can be happen) laugh.gif
*
i don't quite understand that, but it's unlikely i'll ever get into that position anyway . thanks icon_rolleyes.gif

to trigger some automated systems in certain cases. (possibly)
i've seen plenty of cases of 1 batang buy at a new high, only to be followed by MASSIVE volumes buying up the queue.

noobie question~~~
are treasury shares entitlted to dividend ?
Company A has 100M treasury shares and declares 10c divvy..
are the treasury shares enetitled to the divvy ?
if yes.. means the company is saving some money, and can afford to pay higher divvy ? hmm.gif
*
haha,.. i dont think so.
if i remember they don't pay dividends, and don't have voting rights.
