Wah, everyone must check their e-dividend registered acc, see got Santa sending you some free dividend or not?  laugh.gif  doh.gif

Btw, who is the registrar of the company?

I posted in the other thread liao. Bina Management (M) Sdn. Bhd. # 03-77843922. I haven't check my bank a/c yet, need to get my mum to check for me later since im not in the country. yeah, if more cases like this happen with other companies then need to check the edividend details liao, bad scenario would be your dividend going to other ppl's accounts tongue.gif

QUOTE(wyt012 @ Nov 30 2010, 12:05 PM)
This happened to someone I know too. Received lonbisc's div chq with correct add but wrong name. Told her to return it to the registrar with a letter to tell them the error. doh.gif  mad.gif

ah.. i'll attach a steel industry research paper by HLIB when i get the time, but right now there's still a significant risk in the steel sector because China's demand isn't picking up yet, steel input prices are still rising, and theres a possible oversupply situation.

they picked CSCSteel as best play in the sector.

Economy activities are not fully recovered despite good GDP number showing.

For industrial product, in most industry, margin is pretty tight and facing inflation on cost side quite severe, and ability passing down the cost is somehow unclear as demand is not strong enough.

Even oil refiner like Shell are facing profit margin squeezing.

agree with you. nod.gif

for me, as a very rough barometer, i look at Maybulk shares. laugh.gif crossborder shipping still hasnt' returned in volume. now just a lot of non-physical assets are moving around.

bro, what is T/O price?
*
theoretical opening i believe it is before 9am, they'll calculate the opening price based on your buy/sell queue.
if can pre-match a trade at a certain price before it opens then that's the theoretical opening price.

QUOTE(smartly @ Dec 1 2010, 09:12 AM)
Theoretical Opening Price (TOP) allows investors to have a half hour ‘viewing period’ before the market opens in the morning and afternoon session. For example, trades and the theoretical opening price for each counter can be seen from 8.30am until 9am before the market starts to trade. This half hour viewing ability is also applicable for the afternoon trading session. This feature allows investors to better gauge the market sentiment and share performance due to the transparent pre-opening period.

i think that description is the pre-opening period description. TOP from my understanding is the price when pre-opening BQ and SQ matches. but thanks for the correction there. nod.gif

I think both are correct.

One is the description of the period  and the other refers to how the TOP price is determined.

QUOTE(mopster @ Dec 1 2010, 09:40 AM)
i dunno much about KSeng. Perhaps looking at usual eps, pe, nav, dy can help u to decide.
Mbb platform shows PE is 15, DY is 2% .. and this year's first 3Q eps ex special gain is lower if i'm not wrong..
it would be better if they give Cash out in this case imo..
is it mentioned what they plan to do with the cash ? with BI + cash in hand.. they could be planning for something...
*
i think they chose BI instead of giving a special dividend, so can rule out them giving cash to shareholders, maybe they'll use it for working capital or something.. i dunnolol just grabbing at straws here sweat.gif

can someone .. um correct me if im wrong. say yesterday's price was rm6 n my cost also RM6, announce BI 1:2 . so the new price should be RM4. but whats my cost? .. also rm4?

then this makes it no difference at all post BI? rclxub.gif icon_question.gif

notworthy.gif thank you guruuuuu

QUOTE(Myoswee @ Dec 1 2010, 09:50 AM)
Original = Rm 6 x 1000 = 6000
After BI = RM 4 x 1500 = 6000
*
okay..
but if like this, then the EPS is diluted, .. becomes worse than share split?
thanks for the feedback, but still don't quite understand the benefits of BI to shareholder.

QUOTE(sharesa @ Dec 1 2010, 09:53 AM)
your 1000 shares become 1500. So, $6 divide 1500 = $4
This company is quite kiam-siap one. almost everything put into the retainer.
But management is prudent, so at least we can rely on capital upside. tongue.gif
*
ah ya .. someone mentioned before the management kiam one lol tongue.gif

am not guru though, always learning from all notworthy.gif
yup, eps diluted, quite similar to share split, just the accounting effects is different.
The benefit is, if as a long-term shareholder, you get more number of shares  and then benefit from it when the price appreciates. (one example is QL  but this cannot apply to all bonus issues)
*
ohh understand liao..
its all about the psychology and long term benefit!! laugh.gif

although they need to draw a fine line between share split , share dividend and bonus issue. confusing sometimes sad.gif

thanks a lot yea notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

hehe... yup EPS will be diluted.. divvy may be less.. but it's actually the same amount you get.. >.>

imo, BI is good to shareholder when:
~they bought it at super low price.. for eg u bought Kseng at 4.00 tongue.gif
~company grows steadily post BI.. eg:
Pre BI: 1000 shares, Profit 100M, 10c divvy
Post BI: 1500 shares Profit 150M, 10c divvy...

Added on
aiyoh.. Bursa error ?? why KLCI one line down ...  unsure.gif
