Not that I dislike LauncherPro. I am alright with its look and functionality. TWLauncher gets the leading edge with its really useful widgets and also it seems to look nicer to my eyes. tongue.gif

I have seen the modded twlauncher but haven't done it. I'll look into it

Yeah, I just started using the claimed to be useless Daily Briefing widget.

I thought I could get that on LP, but nope. That's a good brief look at daily calendar's event, rather than opening the calendar manually.

LP left much to be desired...

This is not even a problem.

Wait till you try to charge the phone when it's powered off. The screen will wakes up by itself without you touching the phone!

For those wanting to know how my battery life is.

12h 39min after unplug
71% now, discharging from 100%

Usage
display 1h 5min 19s
wifi 11h 0min 27s
cell standby 12h 39min 38s
phone idle 11h 34min 18s

It didn't record the apps that i was using.
I browse the net, play angry birds and went through some other games.
Downloaded some sniping games from market and went through a few levels while watching soccer this morning.

Is this good battery life? Well for me it is.

FROYO DOES NOT fix the lag problem.

If your phone on Android 2.1 already got lag fix, please remove it first before updating to FROYO as I have a few friends who bricked their Galaxy S because forgot to remove the lag fix b4 updating to FROYO.

After u have updated to FROYO, please root the phone first and then apply lag fix. The easiest to use if RyanZA One Click Lag Fix from the Android Market.

To root FROYO Galaxy S, u can use Z4root (download from Android Market) to root the phone first.

Then use RyanZA's One Click Lag Fix to apply EXT2 tools.

Then only apply the Oneclicklagfix.

I used ULK, it has rooting and everything else inside the kernel.
Easy to use and very straightforward.

How to fix?

01. Download K9 CWM file, put it in your sdcard, also put Doc's ROM.

02. Boot into recovery.

03. Flash the K9 kernel, DO NOT REBOOT.

04. Go to Advanced ULK options -> reboot into recovery.

05. Now choose mounts and storage -> Format system

06. Now flash Doc's ROM, and immediately after, flash K9 CWM zip AGAIN! (Without a reboot in between)

07. Select reboot after flashing K9 CWM zip. Now if you had a lagfix applied before, you will get a prompt about change in config. Just select "remove new config" here.

08. DO NOT FLASH any bugged kernel after this, or you will have to repeat this process.
guys,if now i wan to upgrade to v9,its a must to install tat k9 kernel?
