I am going to install Ya-ok kernel so that twlauncher would be smooth butter. After 4 days of using LauncherPro, I decided that it isn't something I like. The scrolling is smoother but when it lags, it really lags for many seconds. Force closed several times too. I believe Samsung Push IM has complication if TWlauncher is not used (keep signing out).

Can everybody here have acess to the market and see google apps most importantly can see google gmail, map and google youtube application? I think maxis usera cant see protected apps.

You need to appear as T-mobile user to see those app in Market. I updated my map to version 4.6 for fun. Not very important I think.

Hi, I am a newbie here.. I need some guidance on how to fix my sgs. Today i install z4root an temp rooted it. I also install oclf lagfix. I tried to do the lagfix but then when the phone rebooted it cannot start. I think this happened coz i temporary root it using z4root. Can anybody advise me on how to get my phone working again.

i can .. using s'g unbranded csc and UK's android market ... after my factory reset 1st thing i update was google map and flash ...

Added on November 27, 2010, 9:57 pm1st of all .. b4 u starting doing tweaks or rooting .. u need to be sure that ur 3button recover is working ... hold vol up + home button + power button ... release when u see startup screen then post again ...

Yes & No. Yes - All the standard widgets and Kies are working. I'm not sure about the speed but you have multiple options to choose. No - it FC everytime I boot the phone, it might be my kernel settings and 3rd party widgets.

@omaryoma, since u just got the phone ... try factory resetting it, erase everything and test again with plug charger

Yes my phone actually can do the 3button recovery coz i tried that before but it doesn't work this time around. After the startup screen it just vibrate constantly and the screen went blank.

Bro, if you are on Froyo DXJPA, don't bother installing 3rd party screenscap. Use Back+Home (hold) to screen cap. No need root.

its normal to have a constant vibrations.. did you wait after the screen went blank?

Yes i actually left my phone about 15 to 20 mins..(manage to get a quick dinner)..but the phone is still blank n vibrates

After downloading YA-OK, I couldn't make up my mind and I just downloaded Speedmod. Lol.. I don't think I need overclocking offered by YA-OK.


Btw, YA-OK users please note that this kernel uses Universal Lagfix 0.3. It is unable to convert dbdata back to RFS on DXJPA firmware. (.513 pit issue).

Ironically, Speedmod kernel uses Universal Lagfix pre-0.4, which should have fixed this problem.

personally feel tat YA-OK 1.2ghz drink some juice ... so speedmod should be the best ... 1ghz is already fast enuf ... i no need Fast & Furios ..
