10x better than my stock froyo now.. loving it!!
but at times my lockscreen still bit (bit.. very minimal) lag. i can live with it.. no biggie. but just wondering will it help..

Hi, there. Just wanna find out from you. Does the custom rom comes with Samsung UI as well as Samsung apps installed?

Besides, for those who have flashed their phone to froyo 2.2. Just want to ask, does it really support full flash player like the web browser in Desktop or Notebook? Can it play flash game (eg www.3kingdom.com.my)??

I can live without k9mail, but losing tweetdeck is gonna cause me some pain. Have to tell you, though, tweetdeck's support for foursquare is crappy - half of the time, tweetdeck doesn't find the site name (e.g. Restaurant ABCXYZ) when I search for places near me while the official foursquare client works perfectly every time. If cannot do all protocols with 1 app, maybe 3 separate apps will do..

Still searching for a twitter & facebook client works for me, since I kinda like the official foursquare client app.

I lose about 10%-15% overnight (11pm-8am) if I do not plug in my phone to the charger. Must be because Titanium Backup has its full backup schedule @ 4am, sms backup/restore tool runs @ 5am, and call logs backup/restore tool runs @ 6am, not to mention wifi and 3g are both on at night (i.e. gmail push, gtalk, whatsapp always active).

With these facts in mind, you should calibrate your battery once a month so lets look at what you actually need to do -

Before you start, I also have a video guide on YouTube which is worth watching through.  It might be slightly different to this guide, but bear in mind, I can edit and update this one, so it’s probably the latest and best advice :-)

  1. Run the device down until it turns itself off.
  2. Turn it back on and wait for it to turn itself off again.
  3. Remove the battery for 10 seconds.
  4. Replace the battery, but leave the device off.
  5. Charge the device until full and then for another hour.
  6. **Root users only** Using a Terminal Emulator, type “su” enter, followed by “rm /data/system/batterystats.bin”
  7. Run the device’s battery down until it turns itself off.
  8. Turn the device on and charge for at least 8 hours.
  9. Unplug the device, turn off, then charge for another hour.
  10. Unplug the device, turn on, wait 2 minutes.
  11. Turn off again and charge for another hour.
  12. Restart and use as normal.

**Update** Steps 8 through 11 have been added on 14/11/10.

If you don’t fiddle or change settings much, you probably only need to do this every couple of months.  Comment if this helps you at all!

my battery life seems gd on doc's rom with speedmod kernel 256hz or 200hz. i enabled all tweaks but NO LAGFIX.

i know about the cf-root but it doesnt have our dxjpa version, i dont know if you are on other firmware, sorry i didnt mention it if that the case

aiya i dont know la got or not for our dx firmware, old guy like do all the stuff manually, add one by one.

if you want to do it manually paste the recovery that is in recovery 2e/recovery to bin folder
and paste the recovery folder that is in recovery 2e/xbin/recovery into xbin

I think better battery life

I'm on k9a-256hz, as I mentioned. The thing about battery life is that it depends on many things (network, apps, usage etc). Generally, for me, my phone just makes it thru the whole day for me (8am to 10pm) with about 15% of juice remaining when I get home. Have uninstalled k-9 mail client (big batt sucker) and am considering to remove bloody Tweetdeck too. Still on Launcher Pro Plus, though..

Note : I don't do GPS at all, and neither do I play much of videos or music while I'm outside. Plus, I am not a gamer.

yes.. perfect like a PC.. can zoom in & out very well.. no lag when on potrait or landscap.. view my screen shot
P/S: the color came out different when i make screenshot using  screenshot apps. Any other screenshot apps that able to keep the original color? & i never know got this kind of games
