They ask a lot of questions.. I say want to buy HL lah.. Then i told them to check my CIMB account.. I told them i got fixed investment income in Dubai.. tongue.gif Every month i pinjam RM3.5k from my mom.. Then keep in the bank lah... DONT WITHDRAW it out.. Just let the balance slowly grow... Then time to time just do some small transactions like withdraw Rm100.. Rm250.. Rm500.. Rm300 from the bank every 4-5days.. Showing like u got activity and using the money like that lah.. As long as u got a lot of money coming in, little bit going out.. Then can kautim easily ady.. They approve for me RM48500 loan.. Add with the discount SA gave me i just pay RM660 to get the car.. Yeah.. But also before buying the car my mom went and search around among all her friends lah.. See which one got cable.. First i went to submit at Maybank also i only got 75% of B Line price (RM38k) loan only... Thats why the CIMB manager cant give me 95% for HL, as due to if 1 of the bank approve an amount of loan for my name ady it will be in the centralised system.. And other bank cant raise up the loan too much as they must use the other bank amount approval as indicative.. So the best is b4 buying a car must plan.. Use a particular account, show that you have a lot of money going in but not out of the account.. Its not the amount that comes in that matters, its the average bank balance that matters. If i nvr go to maybank in the start manatau i ady can get HL with 95% loan ady.. cry.gif

They want a guarantor cos U dont have any historical record of loan repayment.. The historical record will look something like this.. +1 +1 +1 +1 or +1 +2 +2 or 0 0 0... The +1 means that u pay ur loan 1mth in arrears. 0 means u pay as soon as it is billed.. +2 means u pay 2mths after getting billed.. Eventhough if u pay 1mth late everytime its still ok as they want to see ur consistency in payment. Try Al-Rajhi bank.. My friend said they are quite relax with the terms.. Can nego for 0.25% lesser interest if u are good..

Btw did u notice the coincidence in the rapid rise of petrol price?? Proton have a diarrhea of battery powered alternative.. Petrol prices on the rise like no man business now.. So when the price has really become unbearable and then Proton releases battery powered car, its going to be the hottest selling cake around wei!! Business strategy.. But not refined enough.. They like inflict the injury first, and dont give u medicine to recover till sometime later.. Proper business strategy should be give an alternative choice first before inflicting the wound and damage, so at least ppl would try to avert from pain and jump ship to battery powered cars first. Stupid gomen.

Trust me later ur teh and milo all going to go up by 20sen too.. As though they are using 1kg of sugar per cup of tea.. 1kg of sugar can even overfill the glass they use to serve, let alone charge us extra 20sen for it..

If difficult to push into the Gear 1 position its normal. Thats the main reason i went for Auto cos the manual stick so hard and long throw. Tak shiok..

I love my new car..But I'm facing some problems... Mostly noise problems..

1.Cornering or simply driving on uneven road, metal knocking sound. I understand that it's the steering assembly/orifice valve thingy.

2.Dashboard rattling noises when accelerating. Really irritating, sounds like some loose screws but I'm not so sure about it.

3.Buzzing sound from driver side aircond vent, from what I read it seems like it can be solved by reprogramming the ECU?

4.Door panel sound from front passenger seat. It sounds like 2 pieces of leather rubbing against each other when I'm driving, but if I wind down the window just a little bit, like a few mm, the sound is gone. Anyone encountered this before? Seems like the rubber is pressing too hard on the window glass when the window is fully up.

5.Door panel sound from rear right passenger seat. I have no clue where it came from. Everytime I go over bumps, there's a noise, as if there's something IN the door panel that's loose. Sounds like 'tak' 'tak'. And, the sound is quite persistent and it happens 9 out of 10 bumps I drive over, no matter how slow I drive. I'm quite sure that the sound came from the door panel because I can hear it very near me, like right behind me. So far this is the most annoying and irritating sound in the car.

Anyone facing no. 2, 3,4 & 5? Going to CoSE tomorrow, maybe to let them find out what's wrong & where do the noises come from. Then maybe order parts & make another appointment. Hmm..  hmm.gif

Also, I'm planning to change my stock rims to 17' rims. The guy at the tyre shop suggested that I should use 215/45/17, but I'm not quite sure about that.. Will 215 be a little too wide & hit the fenders while cornering or overloading? E.G; 4-5 persons in the car.

Pls advice, sifu sifu personarians out there... tongue.gif

I seriously hope I didn't get a lemon... So far no prob with engine & all that, only noises... Loud, irritating noises..

Ok Prob 1 is solved.. Prob 2 can solve it by buying a bag of washers from ace hardware then unscrew a few screws in the dash and use it as dampeners between the screw and screw it back tightly but not toooo tight.. prob 3 shd be solved with the new firmware.. My car was manufactured somewhere after the mid of october and it ady had the new firmware loaded in.. Urs shd be using the latest firmware, but its no harm doing a check.. 4,5 not too sure..

As for rims i dont think it will be much of a prob using 215/45R17.. I would discourage using 40series as its rather too thin and very harsh on the ride.. Furthermore a slight hit on bigger potholes may cause rim damage. I saw a fellas car using 215/45R17 and it looks nice and it nvr hits the fender too although he takes precaution when going over humps and bumpy roads lah..

I did saw another persona in CoSE using 205/45R17 tires.. The tire wall can see its inclining inwards.. As though not offering protection for the rim.. IMO i prefer the tire wall to be straight flush against the rim lah.. Looks beefier.. But there are ppl that love to have the rims jutting out VIP style.. rclxms.gif

That was my main concerns too initially.. I asked the fella and he said he didnt notice any tire scrapping noise but he was not too sure himself... If it indeed do scrape the inside wall of the arch then maybe can add spacers to push out the rims.. Btw the turning radius of Persona very large lah.. Most of the time have to reverse and drive when doing illegal u turn.. mad.gif So i dont think its gonna hit the inside wall..

Anyways for ur info on calculating u do a full lock turn and park ur car, get down and measure the gap of the tire edge to ur sidewall.. Then later when choosing the rims u see lah which has more offset.. IF IM NOT MISTAKEN the Persona rim offset is +46. So choose something like +50 and below if available.. Definitely will be safe enough to fit 215tires.. Dont go too much offset as it will cause unnecessary stress on ur wheel bolt and alignment will be more difficult. Driving dynamics and turning radius will be altered too..

As for tire pressuire i go for 235kpa in front and 220kpa at the back.. I normally used 225kpa at the back but i realised that the tire do lock up quite easily when the car has no passengers.. 220kpa now doesnt give me that problem so far..

8.30am would be a safe bet.. But i recommend u to go earlier as u didnt make an appointment with them and they are quite packed most of time..

Yeah persona is really good.. 9sec for 0-100 is respectable for such a obese car.. Will see what i can do with it later..

Me student only.. Use my car too much then no money pour petrol.. tongue.gif Instead of retrofitting try changing the brake pads first.. Good suggestion would be Bendix Metal King. Retrofitting is a lot of problem, such as changing master brake pump, brake fluid delivery cables, brake disc etc.. Trust me u will get used to the brake within 1 mth time.. I was very worried bout the brakes initially but now im perfectly used to it.. It stops well too..

Oh those EA ones.. Cross drilled and slotted.. But then that does not include the master brake pump right? Try getting half cut Evo3 double servo ones.. Rm150 can get one ady.. Then we go drag and see who wins the 100-0 time eh tongue.gif

Erm but then u shd know 1.3master brake pump are tuned for front disc back drum setup.. There are minor changes in the cable which prevents the fluid from flowing back too fast for the drum brakes.. If u swap with disc brake it will cause brake pressure still being applied to the back disc brakes.. Clarify that with EA first.. Sure they will tell u to change the brake hose for the back too.. Urs ok lah.. MLine, so its the sport rims, 1k with new tires, bargain for the shop.. hehe.. Mine BL steel rims.. If ask them trade in for 1k they will take it and throw on my head got lah.. biggrin.gif

Eh can help me one thing ah.. When u go trade in ur ori rims and tire pls timbang and see how heavy is the rims+tires. and also timbang ur new rims without tires and with tires.. I want to see will it add more weight than existing rims..

Seriously.. WHATS THE USE/BENEFIT? RM600 for that.. Not much difference lah.. I thought u wanted to change rear brakes.. Better off getting Racing pads (650-850degrees) which can withstand high temperatures.. Guarantee going down from Genting full brake also no problem.. U change the brake disc but u nvr change the brake pistons it wont help in braking power lah.. Maybe ur disc can last longer before brake fade sets in, on normal non mountainous road it would be very very unlikely for brake fade to occur.. If u e-brake from 200-0kmh then probably it will fade lah, but before that u will be under some trailer ady.. tongue.gif

2pot brake with cross drilled disc and 4pot brake with solid ventilated disc with high temp brake pads, the latter wins lah.. Unless u are that type that brake super hard kaw kaw everytime u slow down then cross drilled would be useful lah.. But by that time u will be dead ady due to no ABS and ur tire locking up and loss of control cause of the super hard braking..

Erm and when u go to COSE tmr can u ask the technicians there whether can retrofit ABS and driver airbag into BLine PE or not.. Interested to know..
