Actually got road connected to BESRAYA HW already, GL just built a short length to connect to neighbor taman…
But for now u have to pass tru few taman, factory… low cost flat n gita bayu to reach MACY.

If GL planning 4 lane road then different story lar, i also want to join BBB smile.gif
*
Last Saturday . I also hear Sales Staff saying plan road connect to balakong and going to Jusco from Jadehill will be what there are looking at.

So this new road plan should not be the Macy side. As Macy side is already old and using by many already.

Gangho, why would you think anyone would sell you at or below developer price?

If you can't afford this Jade Hills, look for those closer to your budget.

If your pocket like me not big enough and like jadehill. Go for their terrace la.

I was there to ask about their Service Apartment. Jadites.

Out of topic a bit.

twins9 & Ultraman2000 = supporter of TP Sungai Long which always praise about TP.

In my opinion, TP is nice. But JH is better than TP.

Politely request you. If you wanted to promote your TP I think this is wrong section. This is jadehill section.

Believe that upcoming projects would improve Cheras South Accessibility:-

1) SUKE - Proposed Sungai Besi - Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway (controversial one)

2) MRT Projects - Sungai Buloh - Kajang

3) Upgrade of existing roads due to new projects (i.e. Jadehills)
*
What happen to the 35.5km East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE).?

EKVE, which is the eastern and final uncompleted route of the Kuala Lumpur Outer Ring Road, would link the Kajang Silk Expressway and the Karak Expressway.

The EKVE would provide a by-pass route and enable motorists from the southern part of the Klang Valley such as from Cheras, Bangi and Subang to travel to Selayang and Gombak and vice versa without having to go through the city centre.

It would also serve as a bypass route around Kuala Lumpur for inter-regional traffic from the Karak Highway, according to the executive summary of the DEIA.

There would be six interchanges – Sungai Long, Bukit Mahkota Cheras, Hulu Langat, Am-pang, Ukay Perdana and IIUM (International Islamic University Malaysia).

Kajang is not low lying like Bangkok but is actually minimum 30+m above sea level.

This is why it is a flash flood that subside very fast as well.

Obviously the local government needs to do something but the funding needs to be supported by relevant party.
*
The Star reported Country Heights flood very serious.

The flood " was causes by nearby development"

I guess, gamuda Jadehill might have contributed some to country height's recent flood. This because JadeHill is higher than Country Height

Do think that any development is to be blamed without a thorough study.

Things happen a lot of time due to multiple reasons and not only single but it is easy for us to point finger to the most obvious around.

There are lots of other development around the area and not JH alone.

Clogging the existing drains and also throwing of rubbish into the rivers can be similar cause of the flooding.
*
Poeple saying 欺山末欺水 & this is one very good exmaple in Jadehill.

It is beeter flood happen now as developer can modify some development plan compare if the flood happen much later ( completed stages) where not much land or improvement can be done.

Definately got to complaint Kau Kau on this Gamuda. biggrin.gif

This is how Jadehill solution to control flood. Sharing this and wanted to get some answer as well.

Gamuda always try to innovative on engineering solution. Some may work and some don't ( just like the smart tunnel whereby have won many international award & reduce traffic jam)

I was told this " Jade Hill" system storm water project is in progress.

I saw very familiar "others" from the Damansara perdana project by this developer MK and when it rain. I am like O.M.G

Can any engineer comment/ independent verify for the benefits of everyone? so that we can have a better understanding and make a better decision on our investment. Not just rely on what developer saying.

Dear Tikaram,

I would say that this is but Civil Engineering at Work working hand in hand with the landscape designer with the blessing from the owner should there be any extra cost, extra time and extra land needed.

In sizable project and land, extra ingenious engineering concept and innovation could be put in place to make the living and working environment much more efficient and comfortable.
*
sorry . don;t understand you la

u sound like so bias on developer side. Are you SA ? or developer staff?

Sorry if I give you the wrong impression of siding the developer or any other party.

Am actually speaking up for the fellow civil engineers.

and try to explain that the ingenious civil engineering design could only be realized if the owner understands the concept and is willing to spend extra money to carry out the proposed works. It also subjected to availability of land and space as well as the time frame to complete the said works.

Otherwise, projects are always bounded by time and cost and certain sound engineering although beneficial to the ultimate end users got shelved and don't get to to be implemented due to the the original budget that has been fixed.
*
ok,

understood now.

Can you advice if the Jade Hill flood control system workable or not? Or the developer just try their luck?

Actually I'm wondering why they only do it now? After the flood.... Shouldn't they have taken this into consideration first before selling this concept to the buyers "living by the lake'? Heard a few houses were flooded but no response by the developer to the victims. Now only doing the work & they should considering so many houses right in ront of the lake! Very dangerous! And now rainy season.....

hihi,

new member of lowyat. RedVelvetQueen

I did asked the staff at jadehill. They have actually started the progress 1 year plus. mainly on the middle section and low section. The upper section not yet completed.

I wanted to know if this solution workable or not from engineer. If it is workable maybe other developer can also do this? especially I am from cameran highland and we always can copy jadehill ways.

Hi ya!

I hope it will work this time round! For the sake of the present residents at the lake & also the flood victims! Most of them moved in less than 2 years ago...imagine the fear & losses! Perhaps those with engineering background can share their views if the method they approached can work or not? Quite a joke really - Gamuda supposed to be specialist in storm management system can go wrong on this one!  hmm.gif

Hi any engineer can confirm this developer method. workable or not?
