Any tips for preventing your guitar strings to be easily broken?
Broke two strings already from the same guitar within 2 weeks. |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Nov 29 2010, 12:57 AM) string breaks in the same place? same string? Thanks for the reply. Nope, not the same string. Just seems weird that I've broken two strings in a relative quick session.if so, then its the guitar's fault... Could it be the string tension too high? Neck scale? Weather condition? Never got this problem with my first guitar. |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Nov 29 2010, 03:40 PM) string tension usually the tighter ones last longer cos they're thicker. Thanks for the reply again. Didn't have that problem with the stock strings, but only happened when I started to change the string. Will investigate further.also diff brands have diff quality. next time take note where the strings break, could be wrongly cut nut, sharp bridge saddles etc...or just bring it to a tech somewhere ask him go over places where strings break and see if they need to be smoothed out. QUOTE(Axel95 @ Nov 29 2010, 04:41 PM) I got Dunlops when I changed my strings. Should be good quality right? Can't imagine if my broken strings were Elixir. |

QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Dec 1 2010, 10:00 PM) TBH, I never did like Boss distortion pedals. Be it the analog ones or the models in the ME-70. Try to invest on a better amp. It'll benefit you in the long run. I know I should've done that. If you insist, then perhaps consider the EHX Metal Muff. Or better, the Zoom Tri-metal or Landmine distortion pedal. reminds me of my first adventure into electric guitars. I paid more for my amp rather than my first guitar.Saw the logic that i can upgrade my guitars later but maintain my amp. |
