dont concentrate soo much on speed, playing guitar is not a race. get your tone right is more imp.

Guys! thoughts on Fernandes Sustainer? thinking of putting it into my Charvel. that beast got no sustain...

buy a fernandes gtr w/ built in sustainer
worthier than u buy n install it in ur guitar

My current solo-ing axe is my Charvel. so i need something that can add its sustain without using a sustainer pedal which could be an option.. hmm.gif

I see....but what does it means get comfy at 16th notes? (theory noob) I only noe 16th note strumming haha...and any good idea of scale i can practice? ( Example: A minor penta or others... )

16th notes are just notes played in a division of 16. so for each bar there are 16 notes, so in a 4/4 it would be like

e ||1-2-3-4; 1-2-3-4; 1-2-3-4; 1-2-3-4||

so for each beep on your metronome you play 4 notes, you can set your metronome to play 16th's so each *beep* is a single note. in sense it will be beeping 16 times.

if im wrong to correct me.

so once you get comfy with playing this, in time and properly, move up in speed.

easiest scale? cromatics, coz you play 4 notes on a string. blues and penta has a mixture of different number of notes per string. in sense if you play alternate picking you want to play more notes per string instead of moving up and down. a penta only has two notes and if you can stretch 3 max per string.

songs to practice on, flight of the bumble bee. very typical chromatic run

i cant tell u how slow to set, it depends on your skill, but most start at 40 or 60.
