RM 700?!?!?! For a pedal?!  shocking.gif
*
RM700 considered like in between the prices of boutique custom super high end pedals and the normal everyday consumer pedals biggrin.gif

Many nice pedals are around this price marh..

Blackstar HT-Drive
Maxon 808
Fulltone Fulldrive II

For some reason, working at Music Master, even with all the beautiful guitars and effects around, I get hardly any GAS. xD

QUOTE(don8ld @ Dec 31 2010, 04:18 PM)
1)Guys , i took my pickguard of my les paul and there're two holes in it , should i leave it or place both the screws back in?

2)I noticed that my strings rust very fast and these a indeed top quality strings. After playing it, i will usually put it back into the case. When i open the case and take it out to play it the next day, the strings seems a bit rusty. Any solutions??
*
1. Screw back.

2. As previously said, wipe. Do you have sweaty hands? Well, if you do, then you have the same problem as me. Ernie Ball or Dunlop, I play, less than a week already start to darken. So at the moment, I'm using RM10 Draco's and changing them often. smile.gif However, Elixirs are damn good. If you wipe properly, they'll last you maybe 2 months or 3 months well. If you DON'T have sweaty hands, they can last you longer.

I guess both of us got the same problem lah tongue.gif

I got my guitar back yesterday from jcyh, and in between the (Bare Knuckle) Sinner and the Painkiller, the DiMarzio Blue Velvet is so soft. xD I'm definitely getting a pickup booster soon.

damn im having severe gas for amps; im up for recommendations budget 1k-10k. currently scouting but i wont take like current offers, only will buy late this year

requirements:

- all tube, no hybrids. no solid state clipping

- good cleans, i dont mind having 1 channel, no master volume, no Distortion, no Overdrive, no effects, no eq. but cleans must be there.

-GOOOOD Natural Overdrive.

- Dynamics, very sensitive thus must very responsive, no muddy amps that cloud your playing. i want EVERY mistake of mine to be heard, even if its the slightest.

- watt and headroom, this varies but i prefer something that i can use for a long time.  im still interested in a class5 tho

- beat up, old original vintage pre 90's amps are very very very much preferred. i hate new shit

current list include

Marshall Class 5
Vox actv
ENGL thunder
Bassman 59'
marshall JMP
Ceriatone Overtone

i remember one poster posted that a chinese make guitar wont be good cause theres moer to it than the features and i believe that so.

slap the best ever stuff in a squier and it wont be eactly brilliant either
*
True. Usually good wood is the most important part of a guitar.

QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Jan 9 2011, 06:05 PM)
How many of you here plays using a monitor speaker? My guitar teacher was just talking about it to me today, and I think it's pretty interesting. It totally relies on on the pedals? I'm using a POD XT Live and it seems to be what I'm looking for.
*
When I play live I try to request for a monitor (is that what you mean?) So I can hear myself as the house hears it, through the mixers and all, then its easier to EQ, etc, especially in churches.

But I've never played straight into a monitor(?)

Added on January 10, 2011, 12:23 amAnyone can recommend me one?
*
Yamaha NS-10s. IF you can get them. They're great for critical listening. If you can get something to sound good on them, they'll sound good ANYWHERE.

Hmm... Guys. Regarding tube effects, how often do you have to replace the tubes? For example, the Blackstar HT-Dual.

should i start with acoustic or electric guitars ? :/ , can i play most genre of songs on electric guitar alone ? if yes , im most prolly gonna get one electric one smile.gif
*
Well, for certain tones, you need the acoustic, and for some you need the electric.

Based on acoustic/electric, I'd suggest you start with acoustic to build up finger strength first, then move on to electric later on. smile.gif

What I did was, I went for classical to build up my finger dexterity, then moved to electric, while paying an acoustic the whole time too.
