Besides conceding goals, I also like to comment that our finishing were not good enough. There were a few good chances on the second half but they all flew above the bar shakehead.gif

Er, i tot players that formed the wall, normally put their hands to cover their private parts, not their heads.

But the ball is flying to their head, not private parts. sweat.gif

Chamakh looked afraid at shooting the ball. I wonder why..? hmm.gif
I miss thierry henry. cry.gif

chamakh is like afraid to shoot everytime he has the ball.it's like he thinks he will get hard tackle every time he got the ball.i understand he still need to adapt to life in epl but you are a striker for god sake.just shoot that damm ball la.

Shooting the ball ? It's not the Arsenal way la... we score thru these means :

1. Make 1000 passes before putting the ball into the net, OR
2. Make 500 passes, but then U MUST pass the ball into the net, OR
3. When all else fails, THEN shoot the ball

I know Nasri, Song, Arshavin & Fabregas have scored thru shots on goal... but then, it's not the Arsenal way & shudn't have counted...

Remember when our fans behind the goal used to scream SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOT !!!!

No offence to anyone... just stating the obvious...

agreed with you. can do short pass, but not doing it EXCESSIVELY and blend it with shooting the ball if necessary.

Our style is proven as we win etc2 cup.

Yes they do have the mentality to win , but not the "Never say die" idea implanted . That's the way to win titles , like United players had . The difference is very obvious through body languages and playing style .

The never say die attitude push and press the opponents no matter the scorelines , not the so called mentality to win that sit comfortably and get cocky with a 2-0 lead .

It is not about the trophy, it is about the passion smile.gif It is about watching gunners playing on the field, it is about watching gunners trying their best for the fans (us), it is about football, it is about watching them growing, then finally only about winning trophy after sweat and tears biggrin.gif
*
The problem is , passion is slowly decaying from certain players , compared to last season . I remembered we didn't give up till the end in most of the games last season , with Bendter scoring few match winning goals . Doesn't happens now , after we lost any lead or conceded, the team played shockingly bad .

Alrite , enough with the negativity . All hope isn't lost , AW and the team just need to sort something out , I hope .

it is a good lesson for the lads to understand not to take it for granted, even with 2 goal leading.

lets the lads act like a man to stand up and bounce back on next game.

btw despite the loss, why nobody mentioned about Nasri 1st goal? what a tight angle and i must say the goal is deserve to be named as goal of the week smile.gif

I think that it's human natural reaction to lift their hand to block something coming to their HEAD.
That's what Fabregas has been arguing with the referee during the match.
But still, I don't think that it is necessary. Fabregas should be brave like Song. /salute to Song. smile.gif

IMO, second half was really bad for Arsenal. I was praying for them to wake up in the second half.  sweat.gif
Consistency is still our main concern.
Just hope fellow gunners can learn from this mistake and be stronger in the upcoming matches.
(Just how many chances they need to learn?  rclxub.gif)

KEEP YOUR FAITH IN AW AND ARSENAL!
(p.s. Sorry for my lousy English lol. Lots of mistakes. sad.gif)

you are saying as if they 1st time play soccer ...

the rule is simple ... raise ur hand in the box and touch the ball -> penalty ...

yeah it's not easy to slot the ball into the net with such tight angle. Somemore i think Nasri already lost his balance but still manage to trigger his foot, that is not easy you know thumbup.gif

And Chamakh's goal just remind me of Drogba's goal against us...a bit lucky flick sweat.gif i bet Chamakh also quite surprise there is a goal, you can see his face looks a bit blur blur, only rejoice when the teammate hug him tongue.gif

It's alright, we just 2points behind. If we do well in the 2nd half of this season, we will be ok.

The penalty - yes. It is an amateur mistake from Fabregas & Chamakh to raise their hand above their head while building the wall.

Free kick - maybe. It is a decent cross and very hard to predict the ball while in the air. Everybody fighting each other to head the ball so very hard to say that is predictable and can clear the ball well. Although our players should be blame for not man-marking the opponents well, but somehow, this kind of set pieces got so many ppl inside the penalty box so even you defend well also might leak the goal accidentally.

Wenger should starting bottles in the dressing room right in front of the bunch of players that let the club, him & the fans down.

Hopefully one of the bottles will hit someone and then they realise the pain we all felt when they lost at home AGAIN!

Throwing bottles and showing anger to the fans and the camera man is not good enuf to the players.
