Ya.. that article was quite dated already.
In fact, it poisoned a lot of folks into getting the GF1 and into the hearts of enthuasiast.
But then again, he's a pro, shoots RAW and great eye for post processing.

I damn regret never get the GF1+20mm combo when they were on clearance sale. Now market price already much more than the GF2 di cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Anyone of you noticed that the focusing speed for E-PL2 paired with pana 20mm pancake kinda slow? The E-PL2 is significantly faster when using its 14-42mm kit lens...

Well, e-pl1 with the old 14-42mm memang slow as hell.. pair it with the new MSC MkII is alot faster.

Just curious if the 20mm is that slow to focus.. or is it because of the e-pl2 itself.

Some info i gathered says that GF-1/2 is faster to lock because it uses predictive contrast detect but isnt that accurate... while PEN's using regular contrast detect (average speed but accurate).

Correct me if i'm wrong..

Does Panasonic Mega O.I.S micro43 lens provide extra stabilized image on Olympus EPL2's sensor shift?

The reason why people buy M43 is because its compare. If you put a big lens, then it defeat the purpose
of M43. Conclusion, 20mm pancake is good for M43 type of photography.

No. You have to turn off Mega OIS or Sensor Shift. Only 1 can use.

Hi guys I'd like to ask something... recently got my GF1 so still a noob hehe.

For some reason when I crank up my ISO to 1600/3200 the shutter speed auto goes to 1/50s or 1/80s.. but then the shutter feels slow, slower than 1/30s... is it because of the really dark conditions?

Even when taking pictures in decently-lit conditions, ISO1600/3200 still feels quite slow in terms of shutter speed. Is it normal or is there a problem with my camera? :|

Then I don't understand what you mean by feeling slow... since you said it yourself that your shutter speed is faster.

ISO 3200, shutter speed 1/50, aperture f/1.7

Added on March 18, 2011, 10:25 pmWhat I mean is that the camera LCD displays a shutter speed of 1/50s but it feels much laggier than when I use 1/30s in good light... is that normal?
